Title: Velvet Goldmine
Call Line: "Leave your expectations at the door"

Velvet Goldmine is the fictional story of bisexual, glam-rock god, Brian Slade, and how he loses everything after a publicity stunt to fake his own death on stage goes wrong. Ten years after that fateful concert a former glam-rock child turned conservative reporter, Arthur Stuart (Christian Bale) is sent to find out what happened to Slade after his disapearence from the public eye. Through Arthur's interviews with Slade's first manager, Slade's betrayed ex-wife Mandy (Toni Collette) and flashbacks of his own experiences, we get a rather glorified view of the beautiful, sparkling era that was glam rock.

Title: The Blair Witch Project
Call Line: "Scary as hell"

We all know there was a lot of hype over Blair Witch, people were talking about it before they even knew what it was. The idea was original enough: pass the movie off as the real footage of three young documentary makers that mysteriously went missing whilst filming in the woods of Blair County, Maryland. Unfortunately, most people saw Blair Witch with the knowledge that it was fake. which resulted in the film losing most of it's intended effect. If you haven't already seen the Blair Witch Project, don't listen to the multitude of people that will tell you it's "crap". See it for yourself.

Title: Dearly Devoted
Call Line: "She'll love you to death"

Well, what can I say about this? I suppose I wouldn't even be reviewing it if it wasn't a Rose McGowan flick...but it is...so I am. Right, well shall I get on with it then? Okay. Dearly Devoted is The Crush/Fatal Attraction with that one difference: Rose. That's right, in her grand tradition of bitchy-chick-roles (ie. Doom Generation, Scream, Jawbreaker) Rose once again portrays the femme fatal beautifully. This time, she's the orphan (suspected in her parent's death) who gets a nasty crush on her new teacher, and she'll do anything to have him all to herself. Does this result in multiple and amusing murders I hear you ask? Naturally! So check out the "new to weekly", Dearly Devoted. There are delightful puns, the tops are cut low, the deaths are funny and Rose is hot. What more could you want?
