Well, I was just wondering where everybody got their screen names from! Did you make it up or get it from a book, etc. ? What made you choose to use it? Just interested.

Mine (BlackLaceKiss) is taken from a vampire song I wrote which said, "Blood red vampire lips/ My black lace kiss/ Will bring you down, down, down" (among other lyrics obviously). I don't like it much now as I always get ideas for other screen names I could have had and it's really too girly for me.

So tell me where y'all got yours from!!!

Morningstar is either (a) the most powerful and beautiful being in creation besides god itself, or (b) an unpleasant, blunt, spikey weapon with which to batter your opponent.

Either will do for me... :b

I was such in a quick hurry that I came up with a simple screename. "Natalie" was the name I used in chatrooms (my real name is Natalia, with an "A" instead of an "E" at the end), and the number "13" was my age when I started to use Internet Chatrooms.

I based mine upon the interpretation of the Papyrus of Ani, commonly refered to as the Egyptian Book of the Dead (writings on the walls of the tombs), by E.A. Wallis Budge.

nuksaa is actually to seperate spoken heiroglyphs.

nuk = I am
saa = the guardian

And it is part of the larger interpreted phrase 'nuk saa keku ami senket' or 'I am the guardian of darkness living in the light.'

*has a bizarre sense of deja vu*

Luna is my middle name. "Moth" was something my best friend called me to tease me about this. Luna Moths are beautiful and unusual North American moths. I've been stuck with this nickname for years and years and years...

I was listening to the album 'The Lost Riots' by Hope Of The States when I signed up.

I work in a convent, my actual name is Sandy, thus SisterSandy was born.

It is always an ice breaker, because it makes people curious enough to start conversations with me.

Mine is short for Duchess Manners McEtiquette. It given to me at the age of fifteen by my dear brother because I had been plaguing him with a long description of why one shouldn't put one's elbows on the dinner table.

A kitsune is a Japanese fox demon that makes foxfire and enjoys seducing men . My screen name actually came about because a couple of my friends said I had two personalities--my nice, cute though pyromanic self and a crazy bitch. kitsune (kitifox) is the nice one; the Wasabi Oni is the not so nice one. I like to be known as a nice person, so kitsune it was.

Well, when I saw the family doctor, I found out that I'm tragically normal. I even mentioned it to a medical resident and he did not disagree it (and it does not take any fancy tests to offer an alternative diagnosis) but rather agreed that is was awful.

Short version: Doctor agreed, I am tragically normal.

Nesert, meaning 'the flame', is one of the titles of Sekhmet, the Egyptian lion-headed goddess of destruction, vengeance, and healing. I usually go by Sekhmet, but the name was taken, and rather than opt for a variant spelling (Sakhmet, Sekhet, Sakhet, etc.) I decided on something that was different and yet in keeping with my general fascination with her.

*Also has a bizarre sense of deja vu*

I honestly can't remember why I choose my screen name, it was probably the first thing I thought of.

Vamp stands for my interest in vampires and my desire to be seen as a sultry, dangerous lady :b Lauren is my real name. Basically I find that when I need a username, if I just add 'Vamp' before my name I'll find no one else has already taken the name. It may be boring, uncreative and without a interesting meaning behind it, but VampLauren had never failed me yet.

I must say though, after looking at all these unique names and their origins I'm feeling an urge to research a new net name already :p
