Hail and well met!

I've been reading and posting on this website for some months now and in all of the threads I've gone over not one of them has had any mention of Alchemy Gothic. For those of you who don't know what Alchemy is you can go to www.alchemygothic.com and take a look. It's a company that makes jewelry (among other things) some of which is quite amazing.

I've never met anyone else who has heard of the company and the only other person I know who owns any Alchemy products is a friend who I directed to said website.

So basically my questions are: Have you heard of Alchemy before reading this post? What do you think of the Alchemy product range? How popular is Alchemy Gothic in the area in which you live? And anything else, really.

Yeah I know Alchemy Gothic, its mass manufactured goth stuff. Its okay, occasionally there might be something that I find somewhat unique or different. Some of the stuff is a fair bit expensive though.

I seem to recall its being mentioned in a few threads, actually, but it's really nothing to write home about.

Likely the reason nobody mentions it is you can't actually shop on their site. They manufacture things, but you have to order from some other site that might stock the stuff. People don't associate those products with the manufacturer as much as the site or store from which they'd acquired it.

I know Alchemy Gothic. I've seen and own a few nice items from them, but it seems as though I see millions of people wearing exactly the same jewellery as me whenever I go up to Camden (London's goth utopia). Also, some of their stuff seems quite cheaply made.
Still, the stuff they make are very good as finishing touches for outfits, so I can't really complain.

I have a very nice mirror from them but they are very expensive!!! My mirror was £10.99 (which is a lot for me)!! A lot of their pieces seem a little over the top for me, but they have some very pretty pieces. There's one little local stockist that sell them here so I've never been on their website, I didn't know they didn't sell from there.

I bought their Chaos signet ring, and after wearign it a while, I had to send it to the jewelry store to make the ring roundish again. It had deformed for some reason.

I lost it, but I'd buy it again

I own a couple of Alchemy pieces, but I've been disapointed with some of it. The earring I bought had too short a stem to go far enough through my ear to attach the stud and the locket my fiance bought me fell apart and had to be welded back together. They make some attractive things, but for the price the quality is not what I would expect and they are a little too mass produced to make a big fuss about - most of mine have been gifts.

I'm sorry, you're not as special as you thought! ;) Although I'm in Ontario, Canada (FAR from UK), I know a store about 10-15 minutes away from me which orders Alchemy Gothic jewelery. Actually, I got my fiance a pendant he liked, pewter silver cross with a skull on it, for Christmas. Although it did cost me a pretty penny ($62 on sale!). But alas, its of very good quality, and he enjoys it.

Seriously? Every metal magazine in this country (UK) has at least one page advertising Alchemy Gothic (and Spirit) products and the catalogue booklets that you find in those kinds of magazines usually have huge Alchemy sections. You can also find their products in most goth and metal orientated shops.

Does anyone else think this sounds too much like a survey rather than innocent questioning? It probably isn't a survey but it's just the wording. mmmm.

Well in England it's really big, but here in the US it's not so well-known. I have a shirt from them, and I love it. I admire their jewelry and the wealth of obscure occult history behind their products. I'm pretty much the only one I know who's heard of it, and I use Pendragon Gothic, which is in Texas. But all their jewelry is way too expensive...($114 Armor Rings?) so, being a poor teenager I usually just make my own or use eBay.

And I would have gotten away with my survey if it wasn't for you meddling Goths!

Haha, no, 'tis no survey. It's just that a lot of Goths, most of which I've never met, have stopped to ask me where I got my pendant from and when I tell them they ask "What is Alchemy Gothic?" I've not yet talked to one person who knew of Alchemy before I told them about it, but then again I do live in British Colombia, and not anywhere close to Vancouver so there's no real Goth scene around here.

It's a long-shot, but if anyone who happens to live in the Lower Mainland and happens to know of a place that sells Alchemy jewelry and just happens to be reading this post, please send me a message, as I despise waiting three weeks for it to be flown from England to Seattle and then from Seattle to me. I just can't accept that there is nowhere in this entire province that sells the stuff. Bah, I envy you Brits so much...

I love Alchemy Gothic and know it well. I have three Alchemy Gothic necklaces: an ankh, a bat and a coffin locket which I put a photo of me and my best friend inside. I adore Alchemy Gothic - it's almost hard to imagine life without it :P They make lovely necklaces which not enough jewellery companies do know and they have a good variety in the pendants as well.

I like Alchemy's stuff, I think that they have a lot of pretty jewelry. So far, I've only gotten a pair of skull stud earrings, though - their products tend to be quite expensive, at least for a poor student such as myself.
