My friend told me about this cool place in Vancouver called the Rock Shop, where you can apparently get 3" spiked wristbands and collars, finger armour and some cool clothes, but mostly just rock and metal music. I am no great navigator, and spent almost an hour looking for it.

From what my friend told me, it is somewhere on Granville St. If anyone knows where to find it, that would be great.

Hear hear. Google should be a dictionary word if it isn't already. As a friend of mine used to say, "Just 'G' it".

Ahh.... Thanks. Usually I don't use google when I am searching for a location because I get a shitload of pop-ups that don't go away (even thought I just bought a pop-up blocker. Damn).

Considering that Google has never had pop-ups, it sounds like you have a spyware issue on your computer. I recommend a spyware remover such as Spybot Search & Destroy. Pop-up blockers merely close pop-up windows automatically as they begin to open. Spyware removers actually remove the cause of most pop-ups.

THANK YOU! I had a computer expert come over and apparently we had enough spyware on our system to supply the entirety of North America. I never would have known about this unless you said something.

That spyware can be pretty tricky, if you haven't already or the computer guy didn't install it for you, download adaware. It does a pretty good job on keeping your computer clean provided that you run program every once and while.

Is this a chain of stores? I bought a decent pair of 24 hole combats at a place in London, Ont. called the same thing for $40CDN.

Personally, I have no fucking clue. It very well could be a chain, but, like I said, I have only HEARD about it from a friend, I have never BEEN to it.

I don't think we have one in Toronto. At least I haven't heard of it. That seems like a pretty good price to pay for combats. Were they brand new or used?

There any chain stores where I could buy gauntlets with 6" nails coming out? I've always thought those look really badass.

I love the Rock Shop. I go there almost every time I'm in Van.

Easiest way to get there (for me) :
Take the skytrain westbound to Granville. Get off, walk up the stairs out onto Granville st. Walk *up* Granville (like towards the Granville st. bridge) about 5-10 minutes (maybe 4 or 5 blocks??). Keep an eye out for the names of the stores, on your left. It's a little bit of a walk, but not too bad. It has windows with t-shirt/hoodie displays and sometimes has a black/red sign out front. You should be able to find it. There's also Cheap Thrills (also on the left hand side of the street, a few blocks before it), they sell some stuff like that...

hope that helped :)
