Yeah, I lived there ever since I was born, then moved away to Calgary last summer. Go Jaguars! ... or whatever. What school did/are you go/going to? I went to KRSS, but I mostly hung around with people downtown.

I knew about 7 or so serious goths (the non-mallcore kind) that comprised the 'scene' up in the Hart, and a bunch from the bowl who hung together. Surprisingly, there's a lot of metalheads living out in the sticks, two of which I would consider goths. During the years I went there, there was about 6 goths at my school. I've only ever seen about 10 pg goths together at the same time, but I'm assuming there's about five times that many darklings kicking around in basements around town. Points of interest? There's usually raves going on every month at the Rollerdome or wherever, which is probably the best place for the scene, and Growlie's Pizza puts on punk shows from time to time. Growlie's is a great place, even with the nazipunks, so go there! There's also that coffeehouse downtown, but I forget the name of it. The army surplus store closed down, but you can still find some cool goth stuff at Value Village and Monkey Forrest, or San Fran's at the mall if you're very, very desperate to have some cheap ceramic skulls.

HMV carries a lot of CDs to meet your gothic needs, if you're interested in the standards of the genre, as well as more mainstream industrial artists. I've also found some obscure stuff there, but your best bet is endless hours of pawing through pawn shops for that, and PG has no shortage of those, as I recall. I swear there was an independent vinyl + CD shop there a long time ago, but I'm drawing a blank on it. At any rate, there's always the internet...
