Its been a while since their last album "Beautiful Garbage", but sicne they have a new album coming our VERY soon, i thought i'd post this topic (as i couldn't find any other topics like this) and see what you think of them.

I am a great fan of them, they are my favourite band, and i love their music and melodies.

I would like to know if there are any "trashers" out there, or even if you like a couple of songs..i'd really like to know who you are!

Thanks! :D (:

I really enjoyed 2.0, thought it was well written and produced and much more developed than their first album, but Beautiful Garbage didnt do much for me. I bought it, spun it, waited for it to grow on me, but I personally think 2.0 was their best endeavour to date. Ill be curious to see where they take the new album.

I've had the pleasure of seeing them live 2 years ago in my old hometown Atlanta. They performed on Cinco De Mayo 2002 @ Music Midtown, a 3-day series of concerts. Needless to say, I was impressed. I haven't heard every single song on "Beautiful Garbage", so I really can't judge that album. My favourite albums by Shirley Manson and Company are the 1st 2. "Version 2.0" especially.

Great! Im glad you guys replied! Yes, I find i listen to VRSN.2.0 more than the rest, its my favourite of the 3. But still, i loved the darkness and tunes on the First, its what got me interested in them in the first place!

As for beautiful Garbage, it took a little longer to let it grow on me, and i have to say it is a great album, if its your kind of thing. I appreciate all their works. They also say that the new album is going to be more like the first, more dark and noisy! So hooray for that! The date of release is probably going to be somewhere in late feb. To march.

PATHOGEN YOU ARE SOOO LUCKY TO SEE THEM LIVE!!!

Shirley Manson and the guys are terrific..i love them! :D

It took a while for them to really grow on me but now i've really come to enjoy their music and all. I'm a bit partial to the first album but then again i like things to be a little less put together musically.

Yes, I like them, though I must admit I only have the first album and a load of remixes from it.

Milk-Siren Mix, Wicked Mix, Tricky Remix
Queer-The Very Best Dub-Bin,The Most Beautiful Woman In Town Mix
Stupid Girl-Dreadzone Dub Version,Dreadzone Vocal Mix

There's also a single I really like which has these:

Milk-Rabbit In The Moon Mix
Stupid Girl-Tee's Radio MIx
Queer-Danny Saber Mix
Dog New Tricks-The Pal Mix
Alien Sex Fiend

So I was a very big fan of the first album, I think Vow is my favourite track. I got the Push It single from the next one and haven't heard much since, I just moved on to something else I suppose. I'll definitely check out the new one.

Btw ezoarth. If you're wanting to quote something someone said click on the grey "QUOTE" button in the top right hand corner of their individual post and a reply screen will come up. ou type your response on the first box and in the second box you will see the quote which you can cut down to the relevent sentence(s) if it's a long post. :)

I loved their first two albums, beautiful garbage didnt really do anything for me. If you want a sample of what their new album might sound like check out the Rob zombie produced : Tribute to the ramones album, they cover one of the songs on it, its not bad.
On a side note : U2 murdered "Beat on the Brat" :P
