well, BS, think of it this way... instead of being in the 818s you could be in the 909s.

Hey! No dissing on the 909! I went to school out there, you know . . .

. . . oh, wait. I just remembered what it was like to live in that arid, cultural wasteland. Diss away. :P

it's getto fabulous ??? but compared to where I live as a child ( near 7th and alvarado) it's nice and slightly cleaner(using that term loosely) lol being such a white girl I stuck out. I miss the westside :( I did make my way to Sacramento for 2 years where is was a strange thing to be in a nice downtown area :P oh and cant forget Reno since I met Scarlytte there oh so many years ago. but I ended back in the hell of LA again.

FREMONT SUCKS!!!! I went to high school there in the late 80's and it was a living hell. Used to get screwed with by everybody for looking freaky. Lived there two years ago as well....and it still sucked. You couldn't get me to move back there even if you paid me. I was born in SF and I have lived in Hayward,San Lorenzo,Oakland, and that cesspool Fremont. Now I am in DC.

Can you tell that I had traumatic times as a teen? LOL

I live in the AssTown (Suburb) of LA... a little bitchy-rich neighborhood called Newbury Park. Feel MY pain; if I were to dress up goth here people would be lined up on the street aiming their crosses at me. And don't even GET me started on the schools I've been to around here, all the kids do drugs and thats the only reason I get along with them, is because when someone in a suburb is delusional, that would be the ONLY time I'd make ANY sense to someone, let alone look sick. If anyone has complaining to do concerning where they live it's the person who lives in an olden-days-Virginia-like town, with a prude, sheltered, close-minded neighborhood! And since I fit the description, here has been my rant!

There are more towns like that than you realize. I think that 75% of the people who originally hail from the suburbs could just MadLib what you wrote and put their own town in place of Newbury Park.

So honestly, you're not alone here, in your complaints.

There are a gagillion goths in San Francisco, you just have to go to the clubs to find them.

Raising hell may require being over the age of 18, though ;)
