This message is for the newbies that have just signed up whose registration is pending...

In the event of not being able to post as soon as you sign up this is because your registration application has been placed in the queue to be previewed and accepted by an Administrator. This means you will have to wait until your application is approved before you can post new topics. This also means you will have to learn some patience as while we have several admins, they're not at their computers 24/7. Applications are usually checked several times a day, and as soon as your application has been approved you will be notified by email.

Depending on the queue that the Board places your registration in you will be able to respond to topics, but not start new ones. In some cases you won't be able to post at all.

So be patient, and do not email or message me within 45 seconds of your registration asking what is wrong, there isn't anything wrong, you just haven't been approved yet.

In light of recent events, an addition to the above post.

If you're a newbie and you find that you can't post new topics, this is the explanation why:

We have restricted the opening of new topics to users who have reached the 10 posts posting limit. This has been done to deter spammers and people who are intent on coming here and posting whatever question they might have without actually checking to see if that question is asked and answered already (use the search button to check if this is the case). This also will stop people who come here, ask a question and never return again. Blame all the idiot newbies before you for this measure.

You can however post replies to existing topics, it's just the creation of new topics that has been restricted.

Please do not hijack other threads for your own purposes, this will incur warning pips which might lead to subsequent banning from the forums.

¡Hola!

Is this function really working? I am thinking of THIS mainly... Considering the low post-count of the user... Or have I missed something vital here?

Now have a look and see what month she joined in...

The newbie member group only started working with new people that signed up, it's not retroactive to people who signed up previously.

A note for newbies who find they can't post. I'm aware that there's a problem with the posting replies, which is something you should have access to.

We'll look into it as soon as possible, teh permissions are all set properly, but for some mysterious reason ikonboard has decided to just not do as we tell it to.

So a little patience please.

<EDIT: This should be fixed and working now>

Okay to the people who cant post new topics, is that everyone who registers first? Or if not, the people who can't post new topics, will they ever be able to eventually like if they hit a certain post count?

Forgive me if you have already answered this, I couldn't really find a precise answer. Thanks.

EDIT: Ah nevermind I just figured it out. I think I did anyway. I'm pretty sure.

Everyone has to register to post to this forum. In relation to starting new topics as Lil said

Mes - just to make it clearer in case you didn't get it.

There *is* a precise answer, and it's the second reply in this thread, I explained it perfectly.

Yeah I read that. I didn't understand what it meant at the time.

I always have to fuck up when I'm a newbie. No matter how hard I try not to. Ah well I guess thats common for me.

I'd say: Don't worry about it, do better next time instead!
