Lucidia is the name of a character I made up. I like her name, and she's kind of my fantasy world evil alter-ego.

She's a prophet/seer; her name is a play on the word "lucid" as in either a clear, realistic dream, or a period of clarity in a state of insanity. <_< Well, actually I wish that were the case, because that would be kind of deep and cool. Honestly I just made up the name and went, "That sounds cool!" The deeper meaning was by pure accident. Funny how things work out, huh?

My forum name "Auraneity" is based on my interest in the paranormal ability of Auric Sight, which is a belief of mine that exists in all living things. The "neity" part of the name is actually just an idea that came from "deity". I just changed one letter. I think its pretty cool because it symbolizes a higher being of the world.

As to what it means to me, I am a follower of the Norse Pagan religion. I always liked the tale of the hammer, so I used it as a username one day and haven't looked back since.

More condensed than some of my older ones, like the one I use for my e-mail. :P

It is also the name of the armor the spartans wear in the Halo series :D Video game nerds unite!

I chose GrowingDark because all of us have some sort of darkness growing inside. You can try to hide it or kill it, but it won't go away. It just sits there brewing and growing until it finds a weakness it can exploit. Or some people embrace it. In this sense, by darkness I mean evil, so don't think I am calling people who embrace the physical darkness (Who is pretty much everyone here probably) evil. haha

Well, my name is "Edgar the Girl" and everyone is going to automatically think Poe. :D Yes, I took my pseudonym from the mysterious and excellent writer of the 1800s, but I also just like the name; it's Old English and means "wealthy spear"--yes, I am a name meaning geek and I'm proud of it!

It's a combination of letters from my first, middle and last names.

Yay! There's got to be a better name than "name meaning geek" for it, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now!

I think the technical term is "name nerd."

Arachne-reminds me of spiders and it is the name of one of my favourite LDD.
Underground-I just like the word

I know, it's a non profound explanation, but it's better than the meaning of my real name (it means gold by the way)

I just chose GayMetal because, well, I'm gay, and I love metal music.

That's it.

AMEF is the short of the name I use to sign my artworks with. The full name has fallen unused and now I only sign as AMEF.

my name comes from Latin as a variation of family name "Favilla" meaning glowing-hot coal, hot ash, mainspring or a spark. It refers to my temper - depending on circumstances I am quite cool and down-to-earth, while on some days and in some situations I can fire-up easily or be filled with energy to start (and finish) huge tasks :)

Underground Arachne - At first I thought your name refers to a character and organisation from anime Soul Eater - a spider-themed witch who made her own "underground" organisation :)

Painful or laborious effort.

I honestly didn't know what to choose those seven years ago (as always), so I picked something that sounded cool and jibed with my state as a student (which I have never left), and with my curse of perfectionism and the skills that I've developed by disciplining it.
