Post A Mobile Version of Goth.net
I was thinking of this last night and was wondering if the admins have ever thought about it as well. A mobile version of the site would be a great, relatively simple way to interact with the forums on-the-go, if it tickles one's fancy.

I'd be interested to hear what everybody else thinks about this. :)

I think that'd be great. I'd use it for sure!

I access it from my Android all the time simply by using the browser. Would a mobile version be different?

Well, a mobile version wouldn't be that much different, if it's anything like other mobile versions of sites I've used in the past. It would probably have an easier-access interface for those with mobile devices.

For instance, I was trying to access the site on my Nook Simple Touch the other night, but my browser isn't all that great. I think that a mobile version would allow someone with the same problem, "portable" access without the frustration of a site not loading properly.

Ah, I hope my response came out alright, ha ha.

It could also make it easier because some apps that allow for internet doesn't have a zoom button, and you can't really read things easily. That least, that is my problem.

Ah, Midi I have the same problem! It can be frustrating, especially when you tap something (if using finger) and you accidentally hit something else due to lack of zoom.

Its fine on an iPad but as said, ya need to zoom like crazy on a smartphone. Doable though.

There are actually apps for browsing boards like Gnet out there already, a quick scan on my iphones app store revealed dozens eg. "TouchBB Forum Browser" which was €0.79, and I'm sure there are free ones too (as well as more expensive ones).

It would be cool as hell though to have the G.net symbol as an icon on my phone. I'd brag...

And I will look into those apps!
