Doesn't it amaze you that most people assume that you actually care what they think? Nice comeback, by the way.

Thanks, Ledge -- and, yah, really. What amazes me the most is the condescension that spills out of the mouths of the dullest people affecting an air of superiority.

Post Re: How Goths Answer Stupid Questions
Does this thread include how Goths answer non-Goth-related stupid questions? Before Christmas I went to the closest big town with a wonderful craft market. I travel in a fully Gothed-out wheelchair. The announcer had just told us there'd been an accident on the line, so they'd have to send us in the opposite direction to clear some space on the platforms. I asked the conductor how I should go about getting from there back home, and the following exchange made a few people giggle:

"So, what's the connection between (a) (where they're sending us) and (b) (my home?)
"Don't worry your little head about it dear," *scruffles my hair*
"Don' let the wheelchair fool you, I can still kick your ass."

He looked a bit surprised by that one, but at least he found me a timetable to get home...

Ye gods, that conductor is guilty of what must be the worst kind of condescending crap. I liked your comeback, CH!

"Why do you choose to dress like that?"

"I don't. It chooses me." *sinister stare until they walk away*

Maybe I enjoy confusing people and freaking them out a little too much...

"Don't you own any other colors besides black?"

"Depends on the occasion; Darker black for my satanic rituals, and a lighter black for my human sacrifices." <- Immediately followed by creepy murderer smile.

Post Re: How Goths Answer Stupid Questions
In class I was putting together a PowerPoint Presentation about Adulthood and I decided, in morbid sense of humor to use a picture I found called Danse Macabre as the centerpiece artwork for the presentation.

My teammate looks at me and says "Don't pictures like that give you nightmares?"

I looked down at my gothic clad self and replied "Honey, I am the nightmare."

We ended up changing the picture to something more platonic. I was outvoted.
