Thanks, Milky. I keep thinking I was on a train that killed someone.

I saw a lot of people who were either driving after drinking, or driving like crazy to get to where they could be drinking. Not every day someone decides to pass me on the shoulder while they're going well over 100mph coming onto a highway bridge where the shoulders are so tiny. So close I can't believe I still have side mirrors. Days like this I am seriously considering a dashcam.

Or maybe someday they will.

I will never go into the city again on St. Patrick's Day. Too many people, too many loud drunks. Worst of all, on the way home I think our train hit someone on the tracks. We were stopped for an hour, and the police came with cadaver dogs. I didn't see anything from my train window, but I guess it will be on the news tonight.

A bunch of fuckin' drunk girls on the train were laughing about it like it was a big joke. Maybe someday somebody they know will wind up under train wheels, and if they're drunk enough they can laugh about that, too.

Getting hit by a train is no pleasant way to die. I understand how you feel about the drunk chicks laughing. Disrespectful.

That sucks Neph. Sorry to hear about it.

And I hear what you're saying about going out on St Pat's. We decided to head to Denver to see Saul Williams and eat dinner and it was a fekkin' nightmare! Drunk a-holes everywhere!

I'm a sad little critter tonight. Tomorrow is school and I really wish it could just end.
But that's not what's bothering me. My boyfriend is leaving to Australia...
I know it's a good opportunity for him to mature, if I can call it that.
It's just, I'm going to miss him so much. At least I'll have him most of the 21 days he'll be given off a year, and three years later I'll be seeing a lot of him. It doesn't sound that bad if you put it that way, I suppose.
Hmm... I'm not really sure as to what to put here. Thoughts and Sharing. Well, I've told you my thoughts, and I'm sorry that I had to share it. I hope none of you will think badly of me for doing so...

Another thought just crossed my mind - I used to have a bunch of allies here, but when I returned I felt like an outsider. Are there still room for a re-newbie of the Gothic subculture?

Nephele, sorry about that. It's terrible that could to happen to someone, and it's pretty low of those other people laughing at it.

It's sad actually.

To be fair, Carnival of Souls and Night of the Living Dead only became regarded as "great" after several years, in the former's case over a decade (as I recall), to build up a cult following and become appreciated for certain elements they introduced. If memory serves, part of what aided Carnival of Souls' cult status was the fact that it was accidentally released into public domain, so reprints and screenings didn't have to be paid for.

Carnival of Souls actually ended up being one of my favorites. It's one of those films that even today not many have heard of, having a cult status like you said.

Thank you for the reassurance, sir.

This Carnival of Souls, is that a film?

Yeah, it's a film from 1962. It's certainly low budget, but it's certainly a great film in terms of story and atmosphere. It's presentation was a bit different then other horror films at the time.

Gothique, what Calla said. You're not an outsider here, hun. Welcome back. :)

To everyone regarding my train incident: Many thanks. I didn't say anything to the assholes who thought it was funny that someone got killed, because I didn't think it would have gone well for one girl dressed all in black on St. Paddy's day saying something to a bunch of drunken girls in green who might've been spoiling for a fistfight. I'm okay. Wish whoever it was who stopped the train was okay, too. :(

Sounds compelling. I wonder if the DVD store will have it in stock...

@ Nephele: Thank you, ma'am! ^^ Again, sorry for the small font. Hope it wasn't too troublesome.

It might have been an animal. Don't think to much about it. When I made my swimming licence as a child, another kid drowned in the swimming pool. The live saver took it out of the water and tried to revive it. He forgot me and after 30 minutes I remembered him. He was a little bit staggert about my indifferent reaction. So I made my swimming license. I still see that yellow - blue back and the slime which flowed from his mouth into the swimming pool. Gothic is about dead Nephele. Save your tears for your beloved once.

That movie gave me metaphoric nightmares for the longest time. I couldn't listen to the chordettes' mr Sandman because of it. Good luck with your movie though. I hope you enjoy it.

In other news, I got my phone! I lost it at school so it was in the lost and found there. It has no battery left, but I'm just glad to have it back at this point.
