I usually shop at thrift stores, somtimes I go to thrift stores in swanky neighborhoods and most of the clothes still have the tags on them :P. The thrift stores in swanky neighborhoods usually have higher prices than the usual ones I go to but its worth it. I live in San Antonio and there is this 'gothy' store called Secret Oktober and its only an hour away so somethimes I shop there. Ebay is my go to place when it comes to jewlery though

:o I never really buy jewellery, but I didn't really consider going to Ebay for it. Maybe I'll check that out some time when I want a new ring, pendant etc.

With eBay jewlry you have to take a grain of salt with some of the purported purity numbers thrown around. I've gotten stuff that was supposed to be solid sterling that well, wasn't. Otherwise Ihave gotten some stuff I really like there.

Yeah, people tend to exaggerate (or outright lie) if they think they can get away with it. I'm fairly cautious when buying second hand/used/pre-owned (or whatever you want to label it) goods. Usually the photographs of the product hide the scratches, dents and scars of the item as well, which is dishonest.

I tend to only use ebay if I'm looking for an old PC game or something

Ebay is a toss up for me; I tend to use only as a last-resort if there is something I really want.

Shop-wise, I get my shirts and accessories and things like that from Hot Topic, and usually just go thrifting for everything else.

This is a tricky question, I got larger size and here in Sweden we don't perhaps have that many stores that offer larger sizes. I also heard from a report that we suffer from the most sore bones and why is that? Yeah, because our attitude toward health and fitness, everyone should be skinny and become skinnier. Bah! What happened to the vikings? Last I checked in the mirror I saw one.

I buy my clothes off Motley Denim, they have ordinary clothes like jeans and shirts. I buy the plain black ones and try to be creative with accessories although I don't dress goth nowadays that is because I don't take the time to. I rarely wear color as rarely I show my eyes to people I don't trust.

Anyone know stores that export for a reasonable price and have larger sizes for a large man? I want to point out that I am large as with muscularity and fat. I need clothing that fits me and choke me undead.

Heh, since I'm shaped weird, I'm pretty much stuck finding all my clothes online, usually from Amazon.com. I'm too tall, flat chested, with big feet to find much in a brick and mortar store. I'm in the market for some new clothes now, so I'll be sure to look at some of the advice in this thread.

The best way to get some clothing would probably be to sew them yourself. The sizes in the stores are usually from a model that they increase the lengths of to get the larger sizes. They don't mind that some people grow different lengths and is shaped oddly. I always get stuck on having shirts that doesn't hang down at belt level and have to choose a larger size. This presents new problems like shoulder size and arm length and I have to either cut them off and sew the seams or being contend with having a size that doesn't sit right. Tailors can be expensive but they make custom clothing.

I'm in the UK, and our high street stores can have some amazing stock. I tend to find a lot of nice pieces inspired by gothic styles, particularly in H&M and Topshop. Most of my wardrobe probably comes from T.K. Maxx as the range is incredible – they do fantastic handbags. My all-time favourite shop is AllSaints, though. It's pricey but beautiful, and anything I own from there is worn very regularly compared to some regrettable purchases from cheaper places. For shoes, I adore Office and eBay for hard-to-find styles by Jeffrey Campbell. Gahhh shopping. ^__^

I've recently been trying out a few gothic outfitters. Angel Clothing has a huge range and I just ordered a few things from the impressive clearance sale at Arsenic Clothing too.

:( Sadly, I lack the skills to make my own clothing, or the funds to have them custom made.

Really? You find some Gothic styled clothing in Topshop and TK Maxx? You must live far away from me then, I live in the UK too and the TK Maxx + Topshop over here don't have much at all related to the Gothic style. It's usually the small independent businesses that sell more Gothic stuff here.

Yeah, I've found quite a few things. Topshop currently has some cool, pagan-inspired jewellery and they did a range called "Midnight Angel" last year which had some gorgeous pieces. Most notably, I recently got a big black leather and suede belt that looks like an underbust corset. You have to go online to see their full range though, as most stores don't get a lot of the best items in. T.K. Maxx can be great some days and rubbish others, but I tend to visit several different ones frequently.

Just having black skinny jeans can be goth enough if you dress them up with leg warmers, some great shoes, a tartan belt and some bling. The best pair of Jeans I've ever worn is from Rockstar Jeans. They're durable and unique in style. Just keep in mind that they retail for $220 a pair.
