Reading Watchmen again. This quote gets me every time: "Stood in firelight, sweltering. Bloodstain on chest like map of violent new continent. Felt cleansed. Felt dark planet turn under my feet and knew what cats know that makes them scream like babies in night. Looked at sky through smoke heavy with human fat and God was not there. The cold, suffocating dark goes on forever and we are alone. Live our lives, lacking anything better to do. Devise reason later. Born from oblivion; bear children, hell-bound as ourselves, go into oblivion. There is nothing else. Existence is random. Has no pattern save what we imagine after staring at it for too long. No meaning save what we choose to impose. This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It’s us. Only us."

Hmmm, let me see. I'm working on Dracula and Frankenstein. And also Lord Of The Rings. And The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. So yeah :3 That's about it right now.

Finished The Parasol Protectorate: Vol 2 by Gail Carringer. It's an entertaining enough steampunkesque fantasy. I like it, though it's a bit cliche.

I'm considering The Hunger Games.

I'm currently reading Goth: Vamps and Dandies. It's basically about where goths get their inspiration for dressing as they do.

That book was lovely. <3 The last book I read was Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite. I'm really excited for Russell Brand's My Booky Wook to come in the mail. :D

I'm reading Dion Fortune's Demon Lover, the free ebook download version, in fits and starts between visits to the hospital. It's slow going, not because of the writing, but because I get so little time.

I asked my library to buy the book Good Omens, I could actually buy it myself, thinking about it...silly me. Am trying to get my hands on Dracula and Frankenstein.
I did very muhc enjoy my last book called The Graveyard Book, it is for teens or children I suppose, but it's quite nice, works for adults too ;)
Still got some Skullduggery Pleasent somewhere that I had for years but never read.

I just don't seem to get the time somehow. I am reading my university scripts though...(exams coming up), does that count too?

I'm in the middle of A Storm of Swords, third novel in George R.R. Martin's series: A Song of Ice and Fire (adapted for the television series Game of Thrones). I'm thinking that maybe this one is the best so far.

Has anyone read The Alienist by Caleb Carr? 'Twas suggested by a friend and apparently takes place in New York City in 1896. I haven't read it...any comments?
