Re: What does your name mean?
I was thinking of Terry Pratchett when I came up with mine.

Re: What does your name mean?
Well, "briar" means thorn, or thorny plant. This is actually want I want to legally change my name to, silly as that may seem. It's PARTIALLY based on a Yu-gi-oh monster, which happens to be my favorite monster, Black Rose Dragon. -is such a nerd- Anyway, that's that. :3

Re: What does your name mean?
childishhysterics - a combination of two words of course, based on the little panic attacks I get from time to time, and my tendency of being sensitive. It's a bad habit of mine, and hard to break out of . ahaha

Re: What does your name mean?
Well, Jinx means Misfortune or bad luck. And Cloven means Split in Two. Half of me brings misfortune, the other, much luck and surprises. 'Tis the name I've giving myself, as my birth name doesn't suit my fancy. However my birth name does mean "Dressed in Black". So it's ironic that I actually am all the time. The only reason I didn't keep it, is because of past memories I wish to forget. It's a shame, but alas I'm happy with the name I now have~

Re: What does your name mean?
Mine is the scene name a friend of mine gave me, Cutty, from the word di'kut ,which is Mando'aa (a starwars language) and actually means 'idiot'. I liked the word and I really like peoples faces when I explain it to them. But mainly, Cutty is my black scene name.

And here I thought you called yourself "Cutty" after the nickname of the sexy, mini-skirted witch in Robert Burns' 18th century poem: "Tam o' Shanter." -- Nephele

Re: What does your name mean?
Its a play on "Post-punk." Since Post-punk is arguably classier than the Punk rock it came out of. It also came out of clothing lust towards stuff I'd probably rarely wear if I owned, some of which doesn't exist, which could be deemed together as Victorian Art Punk.

Re: What does your name mean?
I named myself 'ittybittybat' because I'm short (4'11) and even though I've been goth for a little over three years, I still consider myself a baby bat.
And I think bats are adorable.

Re: What does your name mean?
It means, in old Norse, crusher. /cue NBC's "the more you know" animation/ As to what it means to me, I am a follower of the Norse Pagan religion. I always liked the tale of the hammer, so I used it as a username one day and haven't looked back since. More condensed than some of my older ones, like the one I use for my e-mail.

Re: What does your name mean?
Its like me being frozen in time, dead but dreaming, sort of out of a Lovecraft story. I definately like the Fields of the Nephilim. Like their songs infer; the beasts of ages past that were frozen in time, waiting for the day that they may be unleashed. Yah, that is how I picked my name here.
