Hey...I'm black(something I have to mention since I know non-white goths are rare) and almost 23 year old. I'm not hardcore and don't want to be, but I consider myself gothic enough self identify as one and decided to give the online community a try since goth is still extremely underground around here. I'll let my personality and interests speak for itself in posts. Nothing personal; I'm just not an open book.

My name is Terry, and I'm new to the goth scene. I guess this is a place where I can go to "discover myself," or whatever. My favorite artists are Florence + the Machine and Siouxsie and the Banshees. I enjoy the Final Destination movie series probably a bit too much than I should , and my favorite thing to do is write stories with the intention of getting it read by someone one day. well, hello to you all. Glad to see this place is still running.

I was known to some, but that was a couple of years ago, a lifetime on the net. I got away from the net all together for a good while, seemed like something i needed at the time. Now, I feel the need to share company with folks with my interests. I have grown tired of getting strange looks instead of smiles or laughs when I speak, or blank stares when I make reference to... well anything. Seems I have found my way back here.

My name is Emily and I'm from the UK, (you know, the teeny tiny one ) I'm pretty near to Whitby (Wooohoo! I loves Whitby!) and I go there a fair bit, just for the amazingness
I'm not really a goth, My sister, when she was about fifteen she went very gothic, and I remember thinking 'I'm NEVER doing that!' Well here I am , But I'm really interested in the subculture (I think it's a subculture?)
I'm still in my early teens, so the parents are still in control of the volume of music (I don't care if next door are complaining ) but apparently like most middle class families, What people see you as, means everything.
I was once on a bus (I loath the things -.-) I was with a friend, I had daft hair, a kilt Dr Martens and this weird massive trilby hat and these girls were laughing at me, and I just carried on, I don't care what people think, when we got off the bus.
my friend was like 'You know these girls were laughing about you' and she went on about it.
I was like 'I don't care what people think of me, This is who I am, and I'm not changing for anyone' I stick to that these days people can see me as they chose. But this is Emily.
