Makeup can look good on men, especially if they have a well defined facial bone structure. Hmmm (@bloodspit: hey again!) see I quite like a bit of black nail varnish. So long as its on the right nails it looks good. I aggre with what you said about the make up. Does anyone know where you can get some realy good white whole body make up? E.g make up powder? I have white pressed powder by Stargazer that I got on eBay and it works wonderful. Cheap too.

I don't really care, whatever is fine with me honestly. I do love seeing men look like vampires, simply because I think its sexy. <3 But I don't mind if I find goth guys who don't wanna put on makeup for whatever reason.

I'm just including THIS video as an example of gothic makeup on men. I like it.

And now, because of that video, I now know that German vampires (almost typed "campires" --LOL, not evough man-on-man action in that video for campires) live in castles and drive sedans. You hear that Edward? Sedan not a Moron Assault Vehicle.

I've been considering trying out black eyeliner, but I'm not 100% sure about it so I don't. As was mentioned earlier, confidence is a big factor, so it would be best not to try it unless one is very confident in how they look with it.

The best way to be sure is to try it out at home, first. There are a lot of decent eyeliner pencils one can get for only a few dollars, and the Internet is full of how-to instructions, including some videos. If you try it and don't like it, it does wash off.

Yer I always try loads of diffrent things (that includes fake blood, eye liner and white/face paste)( ) at home to build up my confidence. still not up to wearing in public yet but i am planning on wearing it to go to friends houses and stuff...(I am just waiting till i get enough money for some cool new rock boots and a lush leather coat )

Re: Gothic make-up on men. Yes or no?
I say OH, HELL YES!
I say it depends on the guy as to whether ot not they can wear make up.....with or without facial hair. I just want them to wear skirts and fishnets.......*drools*
Are people saying that black nail varnish would make a guy look metal? The metal heads I knew growing up would never have worn nail varnish or eyeliner. That's always been something relegated to the Goth bois. The times....they are a-changing, I guess.

Yeah, I come from the metal scene originally - it's against a lot of the "manly" ethos to do make up that isn't supposed to be a scary death mask a la corpsepaint. Painting the nails is something kinda "girly" to a lot of the more "Iron Maiden + Judas Priest" crowd. Interestingly though, metal can seem very homoerotic. When Halford started wearing all the leathers....... need I say more? Things just typically aren't "girly" -- Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:51 am -- Addendum : I wore eyeliner a few times - it's something I'd like to do again - when I move out of this town. I'll settle of course, for when I move out of at least my parents' place. Then, I can *really* get my small-town goth on. Who knows, I just might meet a kindred soul or two; Surely to all that's awesome, there has to be another spiffy kid growing up here in Courtenay and attends one of the three high schools that are within 30 minutes from my house. Preferably a girl who's turning 18 soon. Or at least, that's what I tell myself every day
