My boyfriend and my roommate recently discovered that I am extremely nerdy about Pokémon. And since they're going to a concert tonight, which I can't attend thanks to a massive migraine, I got an early birthday present. I won't turn 20 until monday, but yeah ... I didn't even expect to get any presents, as we don't have a lot of money, so I sure was surprised.


I now own a Nintendo DS Lite (used, but I don't care. I'm too busy being a child again) and Pokémon Black. Apparently my mother in law also bought a bunch of books for me after asking my boyfriend to go through my book selection to figure out which authors I like the most, but I of course haven't received those yet. Best presents ever!

Whee! Alice, happy birthday! I have black and white. Maybe we can trade? I'm nerdy about Pokemon, too.


Anyhow, lost 2lbs! I'm getting back into jogging and am back to eating well again. No more fast food!

A friend gave me her movie ticket because something came up and she couldn't go. I haven't seen a movie at the theatre since "Bedazzled" (so a while......) I highly recommend "Courageous". Really funny in some places, sad in some places, bit of action....

Music makes me happy at the moment. I've fallen in love with my favourite band all over again.
And chocolate, if I eat any more I'll explode.

Yay! Last day of vocational placement. I won't have to see that b!$<h again for a whole 2 months I honestly thought I could work with any of my fellow students, but this person just irritates me beyond belief...

I got to have a nice, hot shower this morning and lunch with my friends in the afternoon.

My dorm building has six floors of people and a terrible water heater, so it's rare to have warm water during the morning and early evening (when most people shower).

I got 100% on an exam today, and 100% on a health quiz. ...I think it may be a sign that I need more of a social life.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with scoring high marks! I only get 90s.

I had spicy ribs for dinner, wrote a new poem, and had a heavy dose of nostalgia today as I looked up a lot of old intros for shows I used to watch when I was between the ages of 8-13 or so.

Learned a magic trick today. The one when it looks like you're pulling a quarter out of a person's ear. Might come in handy?

Liking the new book I got from the library.

It's been non-stop Evanescence recently because I've got their new album and I'm addicted to it at the moment. I also listen to a lot of metal as well as various other rock bands. My top five bands at the moment are Evanescence, We Are The Fallen, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil and Arch Enemy, (Within Temptation were on the list, but with WATF coming to my attention and the travesty WT's last album was, they've dropped somewhat. I still like them, just not as much as I used to.)

My moisturiser is sparkly! Yes, this makes me insanely happy for some reason. As do Maryland cookies, proper crunchy cookies, none of this chewy crap! And i got some new sparklies yesterday.
