A gigantic flock of blackbirds just landed in the trees at the back of our property. The leaves have all fallen, and the trees are just loaded with about 200 blackbirds, all looking in the same direction and chirping at the same time. I wonder if they migrate? Anyway, it was a fantastic gothy moment, in an Alfred Hitchcock kind of way. Re: Happy thread is happy. Ledge, that is so cool! Unfortunately, i haven't seen our raven couple in a few months. BUT, there are ravens that scavenge some of the fields near the building where my A&P classes are. So cool seeing them as I walk to class some mournings!

Re: Happy thread is happy. LS arrives here tomorrow night! He'll meet some of my coworkers Tuesday night, see the family on Thanksgiving, then the space geeks Friday and Saturday.

 This thread always cheers me up I'm having a great day. We didn't have to start our vocational training till 8am, though the rest of the 2 weeks is 6:30am starts and as they couldn't get hold of the DVD on elder abuse and there was no one to do our manual handling training, we all had an early mark. It will be full on tomorrow though. I managed to get the shopping done really quickly and my husband took my child to swimming even though I'd said I'd do it. Oh, and that last law and ethics assignment passed even with the wrong acronym all the way through it. Lovin it. _________________ Mess with people's heads - dress to spook and use your manners! |

Re: Happy thread is happy. I'm happy that Thanksgiving dinner is over; it's a lot of work for a meal that's snarfled in about a half hour. Everything went over well, though, especially my pumpkin cheesecake. It's all over for another year!
