Well,2002 has come and gone and we got some pretty good movies out of Hollywood and beyond (LOTR,Spirited Away, and Spider-Man were my top choices of the year). But what about the films you saw that were just....terrible wrecks? The movies you'd recommend to your worst nemesis? What were the worst movies you saw in 2002?

My choices are split between "8 Mile" and "Reign of Fire". These were two terrible films I saw that made me want to become a director even more so that trash like this could be forgotten of. "8-Mile" was a bad flick because right off the bat,Eminem was in it,and that's not a good thing (though I don't judge movies by the actors in them,I mean,Leonardo DiCapprio was in "Catch Me If You Can" and that was pretty good). Second, the movie pretty much focuses on all the negative aspects of Eminem's life, something that I'm not interested in. Lastly, the director of this film did "L.A. Confidential"! How did he lower himself into doing this piece of crap?! Just another example of how low people go for money.

Now we have Reign of Fire,a wannabe action film that's more potent than most prescription sleeping pills. The dragons were alright, but the story and the movie itself was so boring...I fell asleep halfway through the film because all they were talking about were the dragons. Dragon this and dragon that. Damn, can't they talk about something else for a change? And the acting...blegh! Terrible! I hope the Raspberry Awards nominate this film right from the start, because that's the only award this movie is going to recieve....

Ok,I'm done complaining,so now it's your turn to do so.

I was dragged to the utter waste of celluloid that was EIGHT CRAZY NIGHTS. Had the ticket not been free, as it was also a press screening, I would not have gone at all. Nevertheless I have never mourned the loss of 2 hours of my life more.

This movie ranks in my top 10 worst movies, and that's really saying something. I would sooner watch "Manos: Hands of Fate" or "Billy the Kid vs. Dracula" before I'd allow myself to be subjected to this peice of trash again.

It wasn't just dull. Had I not been the ride for my friends, I would have left, and I NEVER walk out on a movie. I had the overwhelming urge to attempt some Sophoclean eye-removal.

I'm all for toilet humor, but the horrible writing, total insensitivity, stupid songs, trite tear-jerker moments, and the most obnoxious product-placement I've ever seen, made this regurgitation of Adam Sandler's worst totally devoid of merit.

Captain Nevarre
...Feels that this was Sandler's cry for help. "Please force me to do only serious movies from now on!"...

the ones i did see, i liked, for the most part...(Reign of fire, wasnt TERRIBLE for me...just because i got to see that idiot get eaten by the dragon ;) )

I didnt see either...except for parts from projection

8 crazy nights, i agree this one sucked
Mr. Deeds...we had posters we had to give away...90% of the posters were left in the theater for us to pick up and throw away...

i dont know any others...i didnt see many movies...because i didnt like many of them...

I didn't get to see very many this year..But my pick for worst movie..The Mothman Prophecies. (I know most may disagree with me.....That's normal)

It just didn't stand up to and was very loosly based on the book. Not only that, it dealt more with Cold, rather than the mothman himself. I think there was one incident in the movie where the mothman was "shown" and that was at the beginning where Gere's wife in the movie died.

*hops off soap box*

I just saw Mr. Deeds a few weeks ago on video. I have to say, it was a different character for Sandler (I think anyway). Overall, I didn't think it was that crappy of a movie. Even though I haven't seen 8 Crazy Nights, I'd probably say it's better than that. 8 Crazy Nights just looks lame from the trailers. X)

That so-called horror flick that wasn't scary at all...what was it? They? Them? Somthing like that. The one friend we went with fell asleep 15 minutes into it and I was jealous. It was lousy.

Ranks right up there with anything Kevin Costner did post-Dances with Wolves.

The very mention of "Waterworld" makes me go into convulsions... I'm not responsible for anything that happens if someone brings up "The Postman" either.

Worst movies of the year...I didn't see many, but they'd be Reign of Fire and Die Another Day. I only saw, at most, 10 movies this year, though, in the theater.

Reign Of Fire wasn't that terrible, I have seen worse...I actually own worse.

The worst movie....was Queen of the Damed out last year? I can't remember...but yeah, I think thats the last bad movie I seen. Loved the Book but the movie was rubish.

Spiderman, definetly Spiderman. As a fan of the comic book, seeing them butcher it on screen was way to much to bear. Tobey Maguire was not Peter Parker, definetly not.

I didn't see too many movies this year, been too busy watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show. :p
LOTR was definately the best movie, gonna see the Two Towers tomorrow...
I didn't see "They"... but it looked like it really blowed. 8-Mile also looked really bad. Eminem was the one thing that REALLY made me not want to see it.
But did anybody besides me see that commercial for that Dreamstreet movie The Biggest Fan? It doesn't even have a decent commercial.
Two bucks says only five people will be in the movie theatre when it airs.

The only bad movie that I saw was the aptly-named Bad Company.

Eminem's 8 Mile looked like the exact same movie as Mariah Carey's Glitter, and I have no intention to see either.

Reign of Fire (which I did not see) looked like the exact same movie as Battlefeild Earth, which is infamously terrible, and I had the misfortune of seeing.

Queen of the Damned is not far behind.
