Maybe I should call my snake mr. Strangles. That really is adorable!
The first time I gave my snake a mouse, I learned that it presses its food against the glass of it viv to swallow it faster. I have a very smart snake.

Here's my cat, Taylor. He's a traditional seal point Siamese. These pictures are a couple years old, but he still looks pretty much the same. Also, it's been a while since I used photobucket, so let me know if the linking doesn't work for some reason. 123456

Hahahaha. Yeah...not very. He does meow a ton and always wants to go outside (we only let him out on occasion when he's on a leash so he can't eat all the grass and get sick and when we're watching him). He used to fetch toys a lot when he was a bit younger. He does like to beg by the table sometimes when my parents eat chicken. So, he definitely takes on the more dog-like characteristics some Siamese have. When he wants attention though, you better drop everything you're doing and give it to him. I've had him get right in my face as I'm sitting in a chair studying because he wanted to be pet! It's also true that he has a favorite in my family (he likes my dad the most) and he isn't fond of strangers (he rarely lets other people touch him). And he certainly has an attitude problem, haha. One minute he's happy with you petting him, the next he's snarling at you. And he has allergies year round. So he wheezes a bunch and snores really loud (he gives my dad a run for his money, no joke).

These are our babies. These are McSquizzy (of Open Season) and Hammy (of Over the Hedge). They're our sugar gliders. :0)

Ooo, I was hoping you'd post pictures! What fun pets! I heard that sugar gliders are being bred in captivity these days, for the pet market. Are yours very tame? I used to think that pet chinchillas were the shizznit, but now I think sugar gliders rule! -- Nephele

Is it true that they're more demanding than parrots?

-- Nephele They are bred in captivity, Nephe. You have to be careful about which breeder you get them from. It's really best to get your gliders between 10 and 12 weeks out of pouch as they need to bond with you. Ours are still babies and so not fully bonded, but they're better every day. sgath92 wrote: Is it true that they're more demanding than parrots? Not in my experience. They are highly social animals. If you get just one, you have to keep it with you pretty much all the time or it will literally die of loneliness. That's why we got two. They bond to us as well as each other. As it is, they sleep all day and wake up around 8 or 9 at night, depending on the light levels. We hang out with them for a bit and they have fun in their cage the rest of the time. :0)
