Are you the same in your own language, morana, or does the perfectionism only extend to English?

I don't know, it's probably worse in English.
But I hate writing in general. For a lot of reasons. Even if I'm more eloquent when writing... Still. It stresses me out a great deal.

BTW, I know that my perfectionism in English isn't real perfectionism, as I'm sure I make a lot of mistakes. But it's not exactly that I can do something about it, so... I just try to keep it understandable

We ARE twins! I knew it!!!

Thirties Girl: I agree. The stress of face to face conversation can become very taxing in a short amount of time. Though I can talk to anyone when I feel like it, which is rare, I find hat longer conversations are very strenuous to me in face to face scenarios.

Yet with all of this, I am determined to become a psychologist. My poor patients.

I think that many of your patients will also come to have an opportunity to talk about their problems without being judged. I think they'll do a lot of the talking. Also, you'll probably find talking in a professional setting much easier than small talk with strangers, long conservations that go nowhere, or sharing deep feelings. In short, I think you'll do fine!

Plus, counselling technique is actually a very good way of conducting a conversation with relatively little input. Used artfully, simply inserting a few questions into a conversation which reinforce what someone's been saying and lead in the direction they want to go will keep them talking, oblivious to your part in the conversation - but they'll love you for your sociability, because you allowed them to talk about themselves!

When all else fails, play to other's vanities! Perfect advice!
