 Your favorite cover song
Well most of us have favorite bands and songs. Yet there is usually a cover song from a band that stands out from the rest. So let's hear em folks.
Wasn't an easy choice for me but Bella Mortes cover of Earth Angel is the winner in my book.

 Re: Your favorite cover song
Just a heads up, there is already a cover songs thread in the Gothic/Industrial section of the music section : LinkSo if you have any goth bands covering songs or bands covering goth songs you want to mention, they should be taken there, otherwise this thread is redundant. A few of my fave covers : David Bowie - Wild is the wind (Johnny Mathis) David Bowie - Cactus (The Pixies) Fu Manchu - Godzilla (Blue Oyster Cult) Woven Hand - Ain't no sunshine (Bill Withers) Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings - What have you done for me lately (Janet Jackson) Nouvelle Vague - Guns of Brixton (The Clash) The Au Pairs - Repetition (David Bowie) Billy Corgan & Robert Smith - To love somebody (Bee Gees) Veruca Salt - Bodies (Sex Pistols) The Smashing Pumpkins - My Blue Heaven (Gene Austin) The Smashing Pumpkins - Landslide (Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac) and I'll finish with a guilty pleasure : Ash - Coming around again (Carly Simon)

Another great one.
In the year 2525 by Fields of the Nephilim.
I swear Zager and Evans were kinda prophetic since most of the things they mentioned are already happening.

I'm really diggin' 'Highway Star' covered by Type O Negative.
Hell, I actually like almost all of their covers. Which is rare because I normally dislike cover songs.

 Re: Your favorite cover song
I don't think I've ever heard a decent cover of 'Don't Fear the Reaper'. I'm biased and actually like bands like Blue Oyster Cult and Deep Purple.

 Re: Your favorite cover song
MUSHROOMHEAD did a cover of Seal's Lost and Crazy, on their album, XIII. Seal is one of the few, non-metal/underground artists I can tolerate; But I always liked Lost and Crazy, and felt like they kind of "perfected" it...( of course, it was the second half of the last song...fast-forwarding sucks )
