From what I have been told, those who get it in adulthood have that problem during that hyper-sensitivity period along with a crazy amount of random erections for no apparent reason. But then it wears off, and they realize its never as good as it was before. Actually now that I think of it, that sounds like some of the stories I've heard about some female genitalia piercings.

It's not really propaganda though. Folks keep getting this done to boys because there's really not a lot of information about it outside stuff about hygiene (Not true, there's clean water to consider) and if most doctors in the US are FOR it, it's not going to stop until people learn more and learn they don't have to. And at least learn that the foreskin is a functioning part of the body and not a birth defect to be removed painfully.

People who, when confronted over being a real dick, excuse their behaviour by saying that they could have done something much more extreme and didn't.

I will wait and learn about the nerve endings debate in Anatomy class when I take it for nursing. I can't find a medical website that says anything about nerve endings in the foreskin, only that even uncirc-ed men rate the head & shaft as the most sensitive parts on their members(actually they rated the foreskin as the 7th place in sensitivity, not high on the list). And that the head of the penis has 4,000 nerve endings vs. 8,000 in the clitoris. Don't forget that foreskin is pulled back over the head of the penis for sexual intercourse, so it doesn't add any stimulation during the act.

Regarding the circumcision debate, I am of the opinion that if there is no medical reason to be done it should be left alone until the owner of the foreskin can make their own decision about it. What makes me super cringe about the whole sordid deal is parents who KEEP the little bit of skin! Ick!

On another creepy note, someone asked me if I kept my child's umbilical stump - yikes! The world is full of icky people! Why would anyone keep that? It was gross....

I did feel the placentas after they were delivered, though. I was interesting and just felt like a membrane that was slimy.
