He's done this sort of thing before, a few years ago he released some songs in GarageBand format for fans to download and remix. |

Re: Free NIN download album The Slip's been out for free download since 2008, as well as certain versions of Ghosts I–IV on the NIN website. As far as I'm aware Trent's going to be releasing all future NIN material for free as I believe it was due to some label clashes (as usual) back in 2007/08. I remember reading he was telling the crowd at one NIN gig to go ahead and download all his stuff for free because the label companies were greedy buggers or something. Now he's labelless I guess he can do what the hell he wants.

Re: Free NIN download album Yeah, I got this album from his site quite a while ago.
Perdita pretty much hit the nail on the head there, he's been telling people that if they enjoy his music, to just download his entire discography for free and don't bother paying for it. But still being a collector of hard copies (at times, not always), I'll admit to buying Pretty Hate Machine on disc not too long ago, the original non-remastered version mind you, as that particular album and it's art never fails to bring back some good memories. |
