 Short hair
I very recently got my long hair cut into what I suppose would be called a pixie cut, though I actually just asked the woman cutting my hair to cut it like a boy's. She gave me a strange look. Anyway, what would other short-haired gals(and guys) suggest for accessories/hats that would be good for short hair? I don't know what I'm doing at all, as I've had it long my whole life.

 Re: Short hair
I'm a short-hair girl, too, Ylva, and I find that hairbands, spooky barrettes, and almost any kind of hat look really great with short hair. I also LOVE the look of short hair on a woman, with a choker and dangly earrings. There's something about the juxtaposition of feminine clothes and jewelry and a really short haircut. That's funny, I just had my hair cut really short this afternoon.

 Re: Short hair
I used to have short hair and it was fun. My dangly earrings seemed more dramatic. Course mine was a 'china doll' bob, so I didn't often add accessories to it. I did wear hair bands sometimes, though.

 Re: Short hair
I could never do short hair.
My husband once tried to cut off the dead ends (to save money) and ended up cutting my hair (which went down to my butt) to where it went just below the shoulder line. I FREAKED and cried for hours. I ended up wearing my hair Abby style until it got longer. It is now mid-way down my back...
When I was a child, I always had short hair because my grandmother thought me with short hair was 'cute' and would never let me keep it long. So when I got old enough to take a stand I refused to have it cut for years and years unless it was dead ends, and it would always make me mad because people always took off more than I wanted.
I sometimes think my long hair is the steeple of my look.

I don't do short hair either, Midi. I just look silly.
However, I do like the look of elfin girls with short hair...

 Re: Short hair
I am not sure what the elfin look is, though I am sure it is pretty. Short hair just wouldn't suit me, though.
As for accessories, I am not sure- depends on your self, I guess. I think Legendgirl and Wolfie gave great advice.

 Re: Short hair
It depends on the person's features. Some look great, others don't, and a select few don't look good in any haircut. I generally prefer long hair on women, as an artist and as a matter of my own personal preferences with my own hair. Then again, I prefer some guys with long hair, so I'm biased all around. I had short hair once. Respectively. I went from very long hair to an a-line bob with a shaved nape, because my mom thought it would be cute. It was painful to grow out and I kept giving in, getting it cut to the style again. I'm growing it out now, and its finally to my waist. I plan on keeping it long.

 Re: Short hair
I love things on aligator grips for short hair. They grip the hair without slipping and arnt heavy like beak clips. I do make some in my shop which can be found in the flog your wears type bit of the forum or I can send you a link in a PM. Have you got a fringe? I like two little bows on either side of my fringe. I also still wore my skeleton hands when my hair was really short.

 Re: Short hair
I am sort of interested in this topic as well since I recently had my head shaved. Thus far I haven't done any accouterments to my hair as it's been too short. I have toyed with the idea of wearing a headband with a flower clipped to it much like you see on bald baby girls, but I really don't think I can pull that look off.

You have the ultimate in short hair (and I salute you). I don't know if you have pierced ears, but my favorite accessory is big dangly earrings. Or maybe getting your stubble dyed an awesome color?

 Re: Short hair
Dying my hair while it's this short will basically make it look like I put shoe polish all over my head, besides I am curious to see what color my hair is naturally as I have been dying it since I was 13.

I did wear my skull & cross bones bandana a lot when my hair was short. Kept it outta my face and looked cute. If you want something fancy you could tape some of those stick-on jewels to your hair? + 1 million respect for ju!
