March 8th is the DVD/Blu-ray release date for Season One of The Walking Dead television series. The Blu-ray disc is slated to have the following extras: • The Making of The Walking Dead • Inside The Walking Dead: Episode 1-6 • A Sneak Peek with Robert Kirkman • Behind the Scenes Zombie Make-Up Tips • Convention panel with producers • Extra Footage (Zombie School, Bicycle Girl, On Set with Robert Kirkman, Hanging with Steven Yeun, Inside Dale's RV, On Set with Andrew Lincoln) • Trailer I don't know if the regular DVD will contain the same extras. -- Nephele |

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC cable channel I caught up with this show late in the season, but I really enjoyed what I saw, so I'll be around for season 2. I'm hoping they do some better writing for the womens' characters, though, and add some stronger women. If things continue with the whole 'alpha male' standard, I'll probably stop watching the show, even though the storyline is pretty riveting.

I would have loved a few comentary tracks for the episodes though but the dvd set is still a must own. |

Anyway, this is a headsup for everyone that Season 2 starts TONIGHT! Wheee! Quote: 'The Walking Dead' Season 2 will premiere with an extra helping of zombies -- and footage. Yep, starting Oct. 16 at 9PM, audiences will get 90 minutes of zombie apocalypse goodness on AMC. The 90-minute premiere will also launch globally on all Fox International Channels during the week of Oct. 17-23. I especially liked the bit where the walker herd came along, and everyone had to keep real quiet until the walkers had passed by. I was holding my breath most of the time! I timed them. I'm so disgusted, I won't be watching the series on teevee again. If they have the episodes online, and the commercial breaks are more reasonable, maybe then I'll continue to watch.
