Re: What does your bedroom look like?
Bedroom, atm has nothing but bare brick walls, no doors, no windows, no power. Still looks alot better than one year ago, just a pile of twisted steel an ash, after the whole house fell in on itself after a bushfire that took another 37 houses.
Hope to turn a blank canvas into a italian/gothic style house, so beedroom would have plenty of small pains of glass in the windows and doors, polished timber frames, large skirting boards, dado and picture rails, arches etc.

Re: What does your bedroom look like?
My bedroom...oh, there's a lot of story with that.
I'm sharing a dining room converted into a bedroom with my grandmother, that is absolutely PACKED with boxes. The walls are off-white...there's only one window, which is in the breakfast-nook-looking-area of the room that happens to be blocked off by boxes. This is where I sleep for now, until the bedroom upstairs is finished. It should be sometime soon. There, I'll finally have my own bed (since I am sharing with my grandmother) but still be sharing a room with my grandmother. The bedroom upstairs has lavender walls.
The economy has not been too kind on my family, in addition to other things, so my entire immediate family is living at my grandmother's house--which is a tiny two-bedroom farmhouse. Most everyone has their stuff in storage, or just boxed and shoved where there's (very little) room. And most everyone lives out of storage plastic boxes for dressers.

Re: What does your bedroom look like?
I have a year left in my room. It's a decent sized room for a condominium being enough to house two separate desks, an armoire, three bookshelves, and a full sized bed. The ceiling is a gray just darker than dove gray. The walls are white from the waist up, white chair molding, and then black to the wood floors. All my furniture, black bookshelves and one black desk excluded, are white and wooden. I have a nice window that starts just at the side of my mattress, and it overlooks the street and the small shopping mall across the way. Altogether, it's comfortable.

Re: What does your bedroom look like?
My bedroom is a mess. Not like it was as a teenager with clothes everywhere (Now I have to wash them myself I see why mum used to get so pissed about it!) I dont have a book shelf so I have piles of books lying round. My PC is just sorta dumped next to the bed (no plans of keeping it upstairs) And the HUGE suitcase which I bought thinking it would fit under the bed doesnt fit under the bed and is being used as extra clothes storage space.

Hope to turn a blank canvas into a italian/gothic style house, so beedroom would have plenty of small pains of glass in the windows and doors, polished timber frames, large skirting boards, dado and picture rails, arches etc. I WOULD DIE... DIE FOR BRICK WALLS. I love brick anything, I live in the middle of nowhere and strangely enough bricks create some sort of urban atmosphere, god, I love it. What I'd do with my room if it looked like yours, I'd take my plaid mattress (no springs, basically filled with foam lol) and slam it on the ground, pile comforter upon comforter on it, get some power in there, set up my television (this teeny black thing) and watch Sid and Nancy in there all day. I'd invite my firneds over and they'd look at me like I was on crack. ------- Boy oh boy, my room. Black walls, the end result of a long list of colors, from white to pink to purple to deep red to, da da daaa, black! I have a handful of stuffed animals, a monkey with all my earrings and stuff in it, a yellow bunny, a pink and purple sock monkey, mickey mouse, and some thing that, when you press its tummy, makes a weird noise haha. Uh, I have a Sid and Nancy poster, a poster of Kurt Cobain, a poster of Siouxsie Sioux, another poster of Siouxsie with Robert Smith, a TOOL poster, and a Nine Inch Nails poster. A messy desk riddled with face care products, picture frames, a picture of the Virgin Mary, a clock, a really bright light, and an incense burner. I have a black light and a lava lamp that I barely use and nice big fat black curtains that block out all that is horrible in the world. I also have a dresser filled with, you guessed it, clothes, a small television with a VHS player, a mattress on the floor with not enough blankets (SO COLD!), an easel, a trash can, and a small piece of furniture (not sure what to call it, really) holding my comic books and vhs tapes, dvds, and cds. Despite my nice room I long for a place of my own hahaha

Re: What does your bedroom look like?
Broken/hymen, I would die to have your room.
My room would be ugly and boring as hell if I didn't have so many posters and drawings on the walls. I noticed I own a lot of giant stuffed animals, one being a penguin, another a long snake. I put a "theme" to my walls. for instance there's the wall opposite to my bed with my TV and a shelf full of consoles and video games, and I have a Street Fighter poster and printed video game ads/covers next to it. If it's not pertaining to games, it's movie posters. The wall right behind my bed has comic book related stuff. There's a painting of the Joker, a sketch of V from V For Vendetta, an actual movie poster of V for Vendetta, other stuff that I've drawn...just...stuff! Oh god, I should mention the big pile of black boots in the middle of the floor. I have too many shoes.

Re: What does your bedroom look like?
At the moment, my room looks a mess. Couple of clothes on the floor that I haven't got round to moving and a pile of books on the floor because I've ran out of space at the bottom of my wardrobe to put them in. (My room is rather small, so the only space to put my books in is the bottom of my wardrobe.) I hate having a small room- there is no space to put things...

Since I was unable to find a decorating thread, I suppose this has to go here. Isn't it gorgeous? http://stuff.icanhascheezburger.com/201 ... an-mirror/

Wow! "Gorgeous" isn't quite the adjective I'd apply, but it's certainly very gothic, and also very, very clever - I wonder how quickly anybody looking at it would spot the bat symbol?

Re: What does your bedroom look like?
Since we are moving I am going to get to decorate the entire house- including the bedroom.
I am going to do the bedroom in a very Pagan manner. I am thinking of making it a forest theme with dark earth tones and murals on the wall of a mythological forest with creatures (faerie and centaurs) and the woods, etc... the bathroom in the bedroom is going to look as if you were inside an ancient tree.
The sitting room is going to be victorian. The activity area is a Medieval dungeon theme. The wash room will be a cemetery where the dead are honored with their names written on the tombstones. The Dining room will be victorian as well. The bathroom will resemble a beach at midnight. My son's room will me black and red with Disney Cars theme. My daughter will have purple and blue Tinkerbell and resemble a garden. My library/Ritual room is going to be a mixture of all I love. There will be one Victorian like fainting couch, one tiny table, and my ritual table in the center of the room. There will be a (fake) chandelier and the walls, etc.. I think will be painted strictly black. Above my chair will be a dark portrait (as soon as I find on I like enough!)
So yeah that is my room and house when everything is completed.
