 Re: Who drinks coffee?
I used to drink coffee when I was little, because I hoped it would stunt my growth. It didn't. I love coffee and caffeine, and I see them as largely 'medicinal.' I do a lot of baking, and I put a spoonful of powdered espresso into just about everything I make!

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
At college I'm a constant coffee drinker. I drink it down without sugar or milk, it adds to my Goth image, it is warm during winter, it tastes nice, and it keeps me awake after I only got 3 hours sleep the night before.

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
"Who drinks coffee?" Not me. Well, I never was a coffee person to begin with really. But then some podcast that one of my professors told us to listen to for an assignment turned me off of purchasing coffee (or any Starbucks product) ever.

Yes! Ethiopian Yrgacheffe, which I brew in a French press for about 4 minutes, with sugar and the thickest, densest, fattest cream I can get. sgath92 wrote: Black and strong enough to melt a hole through sheet metal.

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
ME ME ME!!!
As a matter of fact I am drinking it right now *sip*.
Since I was previously in the Air Force I will drink coffee in any of it's various, and sometimes questionable, forms. We make a pot in my auto every single morning and I usually drink it all day, and we typically make whatever's cheap so long as caffeine is present.
I don't like flavored coffees, but I do like to put flavored creamers into my coffee. Unless I go to Starbucks in which case I flounder between the seasonal lattes or Americanos with just a touch of cream.

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
You better believe I do! My usual at the local coffee place - iced nonfat latte (the biggest they've got). At home, either with or without milk. I like New Mexico Pinon Coffee - mellow and flavorful stuff. I don't know if I would be able to tell the difference if the pine nuts were not in that mix though.

I am right there with you. I despise coffee. The only time I ever drank it was in the military, when it was the only think available to assist with long nights. The mere smell of it makes me gag.

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
I wasn't allowed to drink coffee until high school and was hooked ever since. It was before I got interested in goth, but I don't mind living up to that stereotype. I treat drinking coffee like smoking cigarettes. Going a day without my coffee is rough. It doesn't give me energy, but it calms my nerves and it's perfect for warmth during winter. I remember my family vacation from last summer where the hotel we stayed at had terrible coffee and they refused to stop at the gas station or a cafe for me to get any. I had to go a week without coffee. I was on edge. I don't like strong coffee. I like it with lots of sugar and cream(I just can't do straight coffee). I like vanilla and/or caramel flavored cream, but I've seen a Asian flavor(can't remember the name. I think Chai or Thai something) that I want to try. For some unfortunate reason, I can only drink coffee in the morning and/or whenever I first wake up. When I try to drink it at night, evening, and/or wide awake, it doesn't give me the same "spark".

I'm not addicted to coffee, I go without it fine. I don't get a huge boost from it either. I mainly drink it for the taste.

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
I love coffee. Especially in the afternoon. It doesn't give me a buzz. Rather, the opposite. Calming, like someone else said. I tend to splash some milk in it, but I can drink it just as easily black or with some sort of sweetner and cream, depending on my mood. I have family in the coffee biz, so the habit is enforced by easy access to freshly ground and whole beans of goodness. French presses are marvelous too.

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
I love coffee and am very picky about the quality, as it lends to crap tasting coffee when its a poorer quality. However, I generally do not like my coffee flavored, if it can be helped. Over the years, I've fluctuated between sugar and cream with a dash of coffee, coffee with a dash of cream and no sugar, and everything in between. Although, I steer away from drinking it black unless its really good coffee. I do find myself a sucker for very good espressos. Or chocolate, but that's another story.... In the mornings, I must have my coffee. In the evenings, I must have my coffee. Any man I choose to bless with my companionship must be well-versed in my coffee schedule. My significant other, luckily, caught on to this rather quick. Sadly, I'm not unique in my addiction...every woman in my family has the same ravenous need for coffee.

 Re: Who drinks coffee?
wait, I thought drinking coffee was a requirement for being spooky!
i keed i keed
Recently, I have been trying to get used to .. yuck .. instant coffee, because I feel guilty using my parents coffee. I put a tablespoon of hazelnut creamer in and a packet of Splenda or two.
I just got off a huge tea binge though, I used to have peppermint tea almost every day, more than once a day. Mmmm so good.
