True. But I find myself extraordinarily touched by the thought behing your idea, Nephele.

:O That is awesome. I'd have to buy two of everything..... one for me and one for my cat.

On second thoughts, the cat can do without. :D

Personally i seen nothing wrong with a guy wearing a collar. Hell, I'd probably like him better for it since he would seem to be the kind of guy not afraid to wear what he wanted. But then...I like collars :oops:

I can't decide whether or not American kids have it harder than British kids. I mean...sure, we have to wear school uniform, and that really, really sucks, but it does mean a lot less agonising in front of the wardrobe every morning, trying to decide if that certain gothy-item-of-clothing will get you in trouble or not ^^;;

I find myself thinking more and more lately that it's not right for someone who isn't into BDSM to wear a bondage collar.

Dog collar would probably be cute, though with one of those tags Nephele linked to.

@ Wolfmammy

well shit... would ya believe me if i said i have, in the past, partaken in certain acts of BDSM and similar, or would you consider me 'too young' lol, although i can understand your point of view when it comes to chokers and collars, as i even find people claiming that you HAVE to have a collar to be involved in it, and that if you simply WEAR a collar or choker, all other things excluded, that you are involved in it... which is sooo annoying in my opinion...

My deal is hearing people complain about being mistaken for a part of the BDSM community, but they're wearing the gear. WTF? Either don't wear it or deal with the fact that people are going to make assumptions based on what you wear. :wink:

Also, you're not legally olde enough to be part of the BDSM culture. Don't grow up too fast, hun.

It's not my experience that there aren't many gay/bi goths around... This board has a sizeable community.

I intend to get back into my full goth style (albeit a bit better done since I was 16-ish) so am planning to get collars, chokers, etc. Now I *may* have some spare cash to hand.

Go for it. I mean it.
If the collars get you in trouble with the school, that should be your only reason to stop. Take risks! Be yourself!

I don't know if I would say it's not right, but I definitely think BDSM and submissive when I see a male or female wearing a bondage collar or dog collar. But then again, I come from that lifestyle, so.....

I think stylistically a collar looks nice and adds to the goth look, just as piercings, jewelry and boots might add that little bit that whispers goth, more than just wearing black. It's something I might wear if it wasn't for the BDSM association in my mind.
