 World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
As of this Tuesday, Azeroth has been totally changed. The Cataclysm is upon us. And I an freaking geeking out about it! They have added all the world changes to be rolled out with the full release of Cataclysm in December. Booty Bay is now two separate zones divided by the Sundering. Gadgetzan is now beachfront property and many many places have been destroyed. To me, this almost makes it feel like an entirely new game. Which is good since I was losing interest in playing over the past few months. Who else is still playing? What do you think of the changes? Are you planning to get the expansion? ~spidey

 Re: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
My partner and I will be resubbing in December once the expansion is released and we both have copies of it.
I personally have played WoW since 2006 and am looking forward to this a LOT. I'll miss the beloved old world as it was, but a change is needed.

 Re: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
Im totally resubing just to play as a Goblin...those little guys are awesome. I've always enjoyed playing orcs, trolls and whatever in fantasy games. I was a troll in EQ one and two and actually joined the negative heat i got from being one. (Trolls are killed on sight in most cities on EQ). So i guess i just like green pointy ear species. But once Old Republic comes out it's bye bye WOW forever
I do also like the victorian goth style of the Worgen home city though

Gobbos do look attractive. I don't see myself being *quite* able to engage in the insanity I'd like with them though. I may perhaps resub.

 Re: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
I rolled a gnome a little while back, and he's a level 45 Mage. I plan to play him through to 85, then level my Pally and Druid to 85, then I may start a Worgen. I have no interest in playing Horde aside from a slight curiosity to see Undercity and Orgrimmar after the change.

Dammit... Here comes another horribly long update. I really wish I had saved all my update files from last time.

 Re: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
Just a quick update...restarted playing as a Dwarf and got all the way to 55 before I got sick of the game again. Now, I understand that Outland is a fairly new part of the game, but it really would have been nice if they'd updated the quests and rewards to reflect what they did throughout the rest of the game.

 Re: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
I don't play anymore, but I hope to get back into it, eventually...if I can look past how much I loathe Cata. They didn't even finish everything they were supposed to do for WOTLK....

 Re: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
Haven't played in ages. Is it worth coming back for?
Hello, by the way. Long time, no see.

It is if you don't mind playing up to 55 then quitting or if you already have level 70+ characters that you want to go through the endgame with. I just really hate BC. That whole area sucks the fun out of the game. ~spiddey

Then there is your reason to play. They updated Plaguelands and it's actually quite fun and quick to play through. Even Stranglethorn Vale isn't as painful. Oh, and they finally came to their senses and put multiple flight paths in each area so there's no "run to the edge of the map, kill 10000000000000000000 things, then run all the way back for 25 silver". ~spidey

That alone is a feat of programming worthy of legend! What do you think about the post-Cataclysm version of the Barrens?

I'm not sure about the Barrens. I typically play Alliance so I don't ever have reason to go out there. My SO says he doesn't remember there being a whole lot of changes out there, but again I don't think he ever really plays through that area much either. ~spidey
