 Re: Happy thread is happy.
My mum came home from work today and instead of cleaning the house we sat down together and watched the antiques roadshow, and now she's in the kitchen baking a carrot cake. It's these moments of 'family' that make me happy!

 Re: Happy thread is happy.
The few people in my life make me happy. My boyfriend Jason, who I love so much. <3 A couple online friends, who are always just an e-mail or IM away. My ex-boyfriend/friend, who no matter what I tell him, still treats me like I'm "normal". My real-life friends, who can help me take my mind off anything.

I must say that some of the people take their exciting news very calmly - rather than looking excited, they just nod sagely when told that their object is worth several thousand dollars. Only occasionally do I see anyone getting excited. Making new friends - both at work and afterwards over food and a couple of beers.

Only occasionally do I see anyone getting excited. Nice to see I am not alone in my love of Antiques Roadshow. I got hooked on it when I was working at PBS, but now I rarely get to watch it due to my work schedule. On a lighter note - two FAT raccoons got into my trashcan last night and I got to watch them rummage through only to be disappointed by the meager bits that were in there. I love seeing wildlife even if it is only out to do my recycling. lol.

George Takei is one of the best people ever.
There are so many reasons he's awesome, that it just overloads into super-awesome-mega-win territory.
