That would be awesome.

My stance is pretty much like the rest which has been said beautifully. It can simply be a relationship with one person. It doesn't mean the relationship has to be sexual- just that the relationship is explicit to one other.

So which country are we all migrating to? I refuse to have a long-distance marriage!

As we're all in Gothsylvania, that's not an issue.

Can we have a "girls only" wedding night as well as the more traditional type  ?

Ummm....what's wrong with loving everyone equally? I'm not going to make a 'no peni' rule, ever. I don't think that people who are uncomfortable with an orgy should be forced to participate.

Also, no one under age is allowed. Sorry, let's keep it legal.

Unless they're rudimentary, right?

Hey, I'll play house with as many men as you want... Just so long as the house doesn't have a bedroom!

Alright, I just won't tell you which room gets used for the mixed orgies. ;)

In primatology monogamy is loosely defined to refer to usual same-mate pairings/matings, though primates cheat on each other anyway, and often mate outside of their pairing. Very few primates exhibit true monogamy, which is mating with only one mate. Though I have I hunch this question is going to be done to death....

I was having a discussion with a friend on different types of relationships, and what not, and during the conversation, a thought entered my head.

If a "monogamous" couple doesn't have sex, is it really monogamous?

Monogamous just basically means you're committed to one person. There's a lot more to a relationship than just sex. Unfortunately it seems that our oh-so-intelligent society has forgotten that little fact.
