I read in someone else's post that she's unpleasant, I was just wondering how exactly? I don't know that much about Evanescence or Amy Lee.

I haven't listened to anything else by this band, but the song Bloodsucker 2000 by Paralysed Age is SO BAD, corny, and embarrassing... But I still listen to it. >_<

At least from interviews I have seen and read of her she has a personality/mentality that she is twice as good as anyone else and that other artists are below her notice if they don't bow down to her. She also changes her music to suit people and if something goes wrong she blames someone else for it and denies wanting to be a part of it.

Example: She made some cough*religious*cough songs and needless to say they were not accepted very well, though i did like Tourniquet...anyway she blamed some one else and said she was over it that Christianity was never her thing anyway or something to that affect.
I also read an interview where she was putting down other bands thinking she was better than them (such as Velvet Revolver- whom I think is okay). She was really rude about it.

Basically, her personality sucks. Her music is eh, okay, and her attire kicks ass sometimes, but her personality is a huge turn off. Amy Lee a bitch in my opinion.

Ah, I hadn't heard about that stuff. I think I'll just stick to liking her clothes.

Speaking of clothes, has anyone seen the new Dimmu Borgir video yet??? I thought they were bad when they were trying to be some sort of Kiss/Cradle of Filth hybrid, but now apparently they want to be Gwar or Lordi.

Their first 3 albums kick ass, even though their attire was laughably cheap and bad, however, it seems like the more money they spend on their clothes/makeup, the worse their music gets.....
Then again, most people know how I feel about crystal clear commercial production.
I like music to sound dark, obscure, like it was recorded in a graveyard, not bright and shiny, like it was recorded at a Kiss concert.

I agree with you there: I simply can't listen to Disintegration anymore. Pornography I can throw in anytime.

Can I join the club? My favourite The Cure album ever is Pornography, and I firmly believe that The Cure's early material is far superior to their newer releases. On the other hand I thoroughly enjoy songs like The Same Deep Water As You and the ever so popular Lullaby or Lovesong from Disintegration, and I doubt I could get bored of these songs in the next, like, ten thousand years.

ha i am so like the odd ball one out. I like everyone pretty much i am open mind to listen to new stuff new bands etc but one band that i cant like or will not like at all how hard u try to make me like them i cant i cant get into is freakin rammstien -_- god i hate that band with passion -_- i ddont like them i dont dont understand that one -_- xD

Ditto on that. You can't really escape German-speaking bands in this scene.
