Your favorite 'awful' piece of clothing
When I was but a little babybat (waaay back at 13.) I used to wear a stretchy Hawaiian print tshirt with a fishnet shirt and vinyl pants. For some reason... It worked. But it was honestly the most godawful thing I ever owned.
I still own that shirt...and sometimes think about wearing it.
So tell me my fellow friends, what is YOUR favorite awful piece of clothing?

Re: Your favorite 'awful' piece of clothing
A few years ago I bought this horrendous black T-shirt with stupid, colorful cutesy little monsters all over it, and I wore it for about five times, then I decided that it looks absolutely hilarious (even for a perkygoth). Then, I got into deathrock/tradgoth, and I started to customize my clothes, and in a moment of sudden inspiration I cut off the sleeves of this silly T-shirt and also messed with the neckline, then messed up the whole thing and guess what, it ended up being a new favourite of mine. But I still find that pattern rather awful.

Re: Your favorite 'awful' piece of clothing
About 20 years ago, I bought a plain, black sweater made from synthetic yarn. I've worn it so much over the years that it's worn thin under the arms, and I've mended it a few times, but I refuse to throw it out. It's like an old friend.
It's so ratty that I only wear it at home, but if I were a dog, I'd want my bed lined with it. Maybe I should request to be buried in it!

Re: Your favorite 'awful' piece of clothing
I have this long, black sweater that was pretty much my gimmick when I was a proto-babybat in high school. A very cheap gimmick since I pretended it was a trench coat. -_-
I don't wear it anymore.

I've lost some of my favourites over the years in various moving incidents. I used to have this really awful babydoll tshirt with Winnie the Pooh that I wore with everything. It was white. XD

Re: Your favorite 'awful' piece of clothing
I had these horrible green and black tripp pants in high school with this hot pink punk rocker hello kitty tshirt. I wore both of them so often they literally fell apart at the seems. After five or six repairs, I stashed them in the back of my closet....and my fiance threw them out a few months ago in exchange for me getting to donate all of his sweater vests....
I consider it a fair trade, though I have such fond memories of those pants.

I have nothing against wearing blue jeans sometimes when I do mundane/physical stuff. Often they are baggy and well loved, but they're comfy and deflect some of the creeps

Re: Your favorite 'awful' piece of clothing
When I was about 14, I had a phase of wearing ridiculously huge skater jeans (in men's sizes, that were far too big for me), oversized band-t-shirts, with either a band hoody or a "dragon" shirt over the top. They were kinda like hawaian shirts in loudness of print and shape, but they oftened depicted things like, well, dragons, and Dragonball Z character-rip-offs Oh, and I often paired this with black lipstick. So when I finally put a mini skirt on and a cute omen top at around 15-16, my dad's friends couldn't believe I had finally "turned" back into a girl XD Edit: I just realised how bad that last sentence sounded. Explanation: I went to our social club in that outfit one day, and one of my dad's close friends gasped "THERE ARE ACTUAL LEGS UNDER THOSE MASSIVE JEANS!" XD

Re: Your favorite 'awful' piece of clothing
Reading this I'm reminded of the fact that I still own a hawaiian shirt from when I waited tables. It's blue. I may take a pic of it one of these days.
