No, no. You're both worng. The best is posts like this when people don't get the joke. I laughed so hard at the idiocy displayed during the life of this thread, I'm positive I strained muscles in at least 3 places.

I know i'm new to this board(which is quite obvious) but i do have an opionion. I'm a senior at another forum(who care?) where "hi Im new" threads area strongly discuraged. infact i've known the admins to ban these people. even then on other boards those who post that type of threads almost never stick around. and actually i strongly believe that newbies should not be alowed to post threads til they are an excepted member, or they run the thread to someone who's been there a while. respect is something that many new people seem to miss.

I don't see what the point of that would be. Whether someone displays their (lack of) cranial capacity in a new thread or an existing thread is neither here nor there, really. I also don't see a reason to assume all new members are not capable of posting interesting, meaningful topics; that's such a pessimistic view.

it's just that by some small chance you post a thread thats been done before or is frownded on. people will flame you and you loose interest and never come agian because they think the whle board is fill with people like that. or if the person is really an ass they'll spam up the board.

Those people who don't even read the board before posting probably don't have much to say anyway. And the reason we have moderators is to prevent people 'spamming up the board'.

Contrary to belief there isn't always a mod/admin on all times unless they have worked something out.

Well, we don't have mods in large numbers, it's mainly the unholy trinity of myself, Blood Rose and Mes that keep things moving along, and as we're all in different time zones we manage to keep a watchful eye open a lot of the time.

It doesn't take long for a Mod to let rip on an infringement as we're online a lot between the three of us, which works fine for me at the moment. As the board gets busier I am eyeing a few potential people to mod the busiest categories, like the general discussion section.
