 Show me your artistic ways!
As an artist I am always interested In other's work. It becomes so boring looking at my own stuff after a while! Which media do you usually use? -And is there an example for your lovely works? For example: My media is India Ink, Acrylic, Pencil, and Photoshop. Best Acrylic works: http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad30 ... xlo/Me.jpgPaintings Signed and Dated By Sonya Sheets 2009

Re: Show me your artistic ways!
I've been waiting for a thread like this for a while. I was considering submitting some of my art for the Goth.net art gallery but I'm not quite sure. I also like to view other peoples' art, it's fascinating. By the way xXlo - very nice paintings, they look great back to back like that in the corner . Here are a few of mine: This one was done with chalk pastel a couple months ago. It was inspired by one of my favorite "vampire songs" - Blue Lotus by My Dying Bride. Blue LotusI also like to use ink/ink wash. This is a picture of "La Llorona" which is the mexican equivalent to the "Boogy Man". La LloronaThis one was done with white charcoal pencil. It is a statement against racial prejudice. Pain of PrejudiceI did this print when I was in high school, some day I would like to do more prints. It was inspired by my frustration at not being able to think of a print design to do for class. Shattered ThoughtsI drew this as a result of a recurrent dream I had where monstrous faces would appear out of the black and fade away. After I finished this drawing I never had the dream again. NightmareA segment of this drawing is used as my avatar. Overall you could say that my favorite media to use are drawing pencils, ink, and pastel.

This is an amazing thread! Thank you for sharing your art with us. I tend to use digital photo editors for artwork - I've posted this before, but if I may I'll post it again because it's one of my favourites... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3646/3397614285_68182964d6.jpgAnd another: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3581/3401370413_ede28e01de.jpg

Re: Show me your artistic ways!
I do artsy stuff, though I find it to be mediocre. I usually use Assorted Pencils, Watercolour Pencils, and Acrylic Paints. These are the supplies I have in my room, and I have a sketchpad, some Acrylic-Ready Paper (I think its made with Gesso?), Canvas Boards, and Stretched Canvases on wooden frames. Though I have used Crafter's Acrylic for a violin-painting project in high school, Tempera Paints in high school, Photography (Which included Classic SLR Camera use, Black and White film developing, Pinhole Camera work, Photography Projector art, and even Developer Contrasting Art), Clay and Plaster sculptings/castings in high school, and even Metal-Crafting/Welding in high school. I have a DeviantArt account, but here are some pieces that turned out half-decent: - "Duncan", a drawing done in Watercolour Pencils for my late grandfather - "Kvlt?", supposed to be a very Black Metal-like scene, on Stretched Canvas, done in Acrylics - "Fireflies", a painting inspired by, well, the song "Fireflies" by Owl City. Painted with Acrylics on Canvas Board - "Mother's Day" doesn't have a creative title. I painted it for my mother, as a Mother's Day gift. Painted with Acrylics on Canvas Board **Note: The DeviantArt account name may seem silly, yes, but it's an account I made 5 years ago. **

Re: Show me your artistic ways!
I'm primarily into pencil, some ink, landscape/nature photography, some photoshop, and pastel once in a while (my technique of which doesn't look that great yet) lol...strangely enough, I have Arc on my DeviantArt friends list! YAY! Anyway, here are some of the better drawings from my DA account: Horse Faced: http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs51/i/2009/295/d/3/Horse_Faced_by_clarissemcclellan.jpgSitting Nude (I hate coming up with titles) http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs42/f/2009/106/c/5/Sitting_Nude_by_clarissemcclellan.jpgThe Archer: http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs51/i/2009/306/b/e/The_Archer_by_clarissemcclellan.jpgMy DA gallery is here: http://clarissemcclellan.deviantart.com/

Re: Show me your artistic ways!
It's been a good while since I've really done much. Truth be told, I tend to be satisfied with roleplaying as a creative outlet, and so my art languishes. When I do anything, it's mostly pencil, scanned, digitally inked and colored. I have a DeviantArt account that hasn't had a new piece since... 2006, filled mostly with embarrassing old fanart of Fox's Peter Pan and Transformers with some original fantasy art thrown in. Hmmm. I seem to have a backlog of messages that is positively insane.

It kind of makes me wish I were talented in that regard, but I am not. I am talented only with pen and paper in terms of the written word (at least I hope I am). Edited to add : Though this is not my picture at all I wanted to share it with everyone since it is one of my favorite 'fantasy' pictures. I present to you : My Heart Belongs To FantasyThe only thing that could possibly make it better is if the coloring were done in blacks, grays, and reds...
