 Re: Best Rock Frontmen/women
My candidates are Freddy Mercury, Doro Pesch (the definitive metal woman in my view) , Johnny Rotten , Peter Steel, Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger , and Robert Plant too.

 Re: Best Rock Frontmen/women
Freddie, definitely.
Can't go with Morrison as a frontman, I heard outside the studio, he was a terrible frontman.
I'm liking the guy from Sabaton, he seems to really work a crowd.
I love that Doro was mentioned. I love the stuff she did with Warlock, especially the near perfection of an album called Triumph and Agony.

I'd add Roger Daltrey to the list.

 Re: Best Rock Frontmen/women
For sheer showmanship, Freddy Mercury is the dogs bollocks[1], my mate saw him and was mightily impressed. I saw Doro Pesch recently and she was on form (I would not say no). Blue Öyster Cult were the funniest band I have seen: "Next: Godzilla! Oh god, not this again!" (Lead singer facepalms while saying this). Oh yes, Geddy Lee (I saw the 'roll the bones' tour) -LS [1] http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... s+bollocks

David Bowie. That is all.
Though maybe he doesn't count, it seems unfair to compare mere mortals to him.

 Re: Best Rock Frontmen/women
Don't we have a thread for this already? o_O
1. Freddie Mercury
2. Peter Steele
3. Rozz Williams
4. Rob Halford
5. Anna Varney(what? she runs the whole show!)
6. Till Lindeman
Just a quick list as I could probably list a whole lot more if I put more thought into it.

 Re: Best Rock Frontmen/women
Is this just what we consider our favorite frontmen to be? Or ones that made the most impact or the biggest influence? Cause I know there are tons of frontmen I love but I wouldn't label them as "best"

 Re: Best Rock Frontmen/women
The term 'best' is subjective so I would say you can list your favorites. If 'best' = what mainstream society thinks of my favorites list and their influence, then I would have a real problem with that seeing all the crappy artists people heap praise on that don't even write their own music.
