I don't even see churches being closed when their priests diddle little boys.
-- Nephele In Massachusetts, the Catholic Charities association was closed for not giving children for adoption to gay couples. In New York, Medical College Albert Einstein from Yeshiva university refused to permit gays to stay in the same room in campus. In 2001 The Supreme Court forced them to do so, although New York didn't legalize gay marriages yet. In Albuquerque, a gay couple sued a photographer for not accepting to go and take pictures at their wedding. An online adoption agency from California was shut down because of some butt pals. I could go on and on... "The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence". (The Boondocks) Like I said, they keep trying to bury certain faces of reality so they can appear like poor oppressed honest gays. I'm not anti gay, I'm only opposed to the gay fascists pigs ones. As for priests diddling little boys, those are the catholics, so they don't concern me very much, since I'm very opposed to them, so they should go hang themselves.

Since Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University receives millions of dollars in Federal grants, it damn well ought to accommodate taxpayers – gay or otherwise – in accordance with the law. Yes, when we realize we have spoken out of our ass, let's go even further OT by posting a video that makes fun of gay people.
Time to get back on topic and quit while we are ahead.

I agree as long as there is a choice for said services. Say a pharmacist does not want to dispense the morning after pill because they find it morally objectionable. That's not a big deal if you can simply go "ok then," walk across the street to the next pharmacy and get it there. But if there is only one pharmacy within a reasonable amount of distance, or if all the pharmacists within a reasonable distance object to dispensing it, then there is a bit of a problem. If, in this case, the photographer was that upset about shooting a gay marriage, I am surprised the gay couple would want him there anyway. Huge potential for disaster I think.

I know exactly what you mean. Even though I'm late and haven't read everyone's post(and that I try to out of politics). I'm putting in my two cents because I'm a born and raised citizen of Mississippi(something I'm not proud of ). This is not shocking to me at all. This is the same state that still can't handle a black person and a white person walking down a street together. This state is so full of ignorance and hanging on to rigid traditions that are clearly outdated and harmful. It still reflects in the politics we have here too. People voted for that idiot we have for a governor(trying to be a Republican state and rejecting money from President Obama that we desperately need as the poorest state in the country. ) Ugh, I so disgusted at the state I live in. Once I'm done with college, I'm getting the fuck out of here.

Henry's_twisted_dream wrote: What a load of crap. Gays persecute the straights as much as straight persecute the gays. If you bury one half of the reality, it doesn't make it ok for everyone. I heard gays saying that pro-homo laws do not affect the religious freedom, yet more and more churches are being closed for not accepting to marry gay people. Sure, everybody has freedom, as long a gays have more freedom than the rest. Are gays so important and superior that entire institutions should be closed to satisfy ones ego to the detriment of community? Gay discrimination is becoming an efficient way of making money. If I ever get broke, I'll be sure to turn gay, so I can sue somebody, and settle myself for life. See? There is a pro and contra argument for every single matter. I guess I'm late to the party for this one! It's becoming apparent that you're biased against those in the gay community from the things you post. Please take your head out of your ass so you can think more clearly.

Ok , I promise. I'm not trying to attack you, personally, hun. I just want you to re-read some of the things you type and realize how they sound to other people. We are not a community that embraces ignorance or intolerance.

Re: Mississippi School Prom Off After Lesbian's Date Request
Another update. Constance McMillen is to be the guest of honor at a local prom being sponsored by the Memphis Gay & Lesbian Community Center. Excerpt from the article, which you can read in its entirety here. Quote: "We are very excited that Constance has agreed to join us," said Will Batts, executive director of the MGLCC. "Prom should be a time for joy, hope, friendship, and fun ... we want to make sure all people in the Memphis area are allowed to enjoy this important milestone in their lives without the fear of violence, isolation, or intimidation that Constance suffered. She is truly an inspiration." -- Nephele

Yay, I am so happy for Constance. No one should have to go through what she went through just because the school decided to be pricks. I hope she does well in her future endeavors.
