Post Your Steampunk Name
You already have a Steampunk name, although you may not know it. It is hidden within your own name, and it is uniquely your own.

As I've done with my Names from the Dark Side, I'm offering anagrammed Steampunk names to any who want them.

If you would like to participate, all you need to do is scramble (for privacy) the letters of your full name (first, middle, last).

If you need help scrambling your letters, you can use this link: Scrambler

Then give me your scramble here, and I will anagram your Steampunk name.

For an example, here is an anagrammed Steampunk name for Lady Attercop (a very Steampunk lady in her own right who has created a Steampunk comic over at her site StrangeFiction.net):

Gwen Cecile Ashbourn
= oleincaeubcneshwgr

Hahaha! I love it! If I were sure I could remember how to spell it, I'd consider going by it!

(Yes, I'm saying there's a chance I can't remember how to spell a name made up with letters of my own name.)

Hooray. I love steampunk, and your last naming foray was utterly brilliant. I would be grateful if you would work your talent again, Nephele, and give me a swanky steam&geary name of my very own.

hideous

Argyros Jobhettle
= toygrtsalhrejeob

The Victorians were fond of names from classical literature. Argyros is a name of ancient Greece, meaning "silver."

Alternately, you could be...

Joby Throstlegear
= toygrtsalhrejeob

Stargazer

Imhotep Z. Reaves
= emeevrpzsotiah

Imhotep: reflecting the Victorians' fascination with ancient Egypt. The name "Imhotep" means "he comes in peace," and Imhotep was the genius architect, physician, and engineer who served the pharaoh Djoser. He designed the step pyramid at Saqqara, near Memphis. Like Steampunk, Imhotep was ahead of his time.

Puck the WaltzQueen

Euthalia Zona Syrrell
= oaylrrzsliuheealatn

Euthalia: reflecting the Victorians' fondness for classical names. "Euthalia" is from ancient Greece, meaning "flower, bloom."

Zona: another name from ancient Greece, meaning "girdle, belt," which can be applied to the Heavens which girdle the Earth. Coincidently, this name also serves as an homage to Victorian era Professor T. Zona who, as the Adjunct Astronomer in the Royal Observatory of Palermo, was awarded the Comet Medal of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific for his discovery of a comet on November 15, 1890.
