All insane people think that they are nothing BUT sane, so if you knew you were insane then would that not paradoxically qualify you as sane?

Eh...most people think I AM crazy...so what do you mean IF I'm crazy? The question should be: what would you do if you were 'insane'

I'm basing the poll on the possibility you were aware of your illness. /div wrote: The question should be: what would you do if you were 'insane'
I did consider that but the question would be too open ended.

In my opinion the question is too open-ended as it is. This is the type of thing that is better off as a thread as apposed to a poll.

Really?
I'm certified for some instabilities, and I know(and pretty much accept) that I'm not-quite sane. But I don't think I'm insane, and I don't think I feel insane...
Ok, I think perhaps I see what you mean...

Hmm, yes, people may think you are insane when perhaps they are the mentally unstable ones. I, myself, don't hold much hope for my sanity in the future. I'm quite mentally disturbed, but maybe it's better that way. For me, anyway.

I suppose, seeing as everyone has their own ideas about what defines insanity..

I guess that was a joke that went down quicker than a lead balloon. In case you don't know what I was talking about I was giving you constructive criticism. The thread isn't a bad topic as such, its just rather useless being a poll when its such a open ended question.

as far as I see it, there are two options...
1.) Professional Help
2.) Jeb the Yokel
Choose professional help. Always.

I second Rose on this one.
People attatch far too much of a stigma to therapy. As far as I am concerned, everyone can use a little, if only to vent and discover oneself. Hell, I'm pretty sure I'm not crazy, but I proudly go to therapy. It's a good thing.
Also, if you feel you have problems don't wait around to make an appointment; things will probably only get worse. I know from the experiences of many people close to me what can happen when feelings like those run unchecked.

I think seeking professional help is best. That's what I do about my problem, although I know I'm not insane. I really also don't like the term insane. I find it too open ended.
