The Evil's of DisneyAlthough I DO plan on getting one of these, eventually. Don't worry, they're not all that expensive. You can normally find them for less than half that price. I always like Maleficent, for some reason.

But the first step in doing so was to kill his baby nephew.
Hades is one of my all time favorites cartoon villains, next to Rasputin from Anastasia. I have the original vhs tape with Hercule, I watched it every day when I was little. Hades, the way he talked and acted, he still mesmerizes me to this day. In a movie or a cartoon, I'm always on the villains side. And I always get frustrated at the end.

I have to admit to loving Ursula from The Little Mermaid... she was one scary bitch She stole a girls voice with no intention of ever letting her complete the deal she signed, sabotaged said girl at every turn and then turned the girls Dad into a withered piece of sea vegetation! Dressed in black, red lips, creepy pets, unique interior decor... The Undersea Goth Queen

Re: The Diabolical World of Disney
I'm not sure. She puts more of an emphasis on Disney's blunt display of racism.
I remember the Zebra centaurettes being pretty (though I see that they had to be half zebra, just cuz they're from Africa ¬¬).

Re: The Diabolical World of Disney
"Every year, stories are rampant of flamboyant gay men harassing straight men, the usual exuberant flamers camping it up and harassing people in general, Mom and Dad complaining about gay couples in various physical embrace and very sexual situations right in front of the Kiddies, on the benches, in the bathrooms, on the lawns." ( http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Disney/GayDay.html) That's what I'm talking about...

Re: The Diabolical World of Disney
I haven't seen the new Disney/Tim Burton Alice yet, but I'm pretty certain (from the trailers I've seen thus far) that the Red Queen will be deserving of a mention here. (Cheer up, CDP. ) -- Nephele P.S. to Henry's_twisted_dream: Every day is gay in Disney World.

Just referring back to the very start of this thread: Carpathian Dark Princess wrote: Chernabog from "Fantasia": ...Come on. He's the devil. This guy is the bossman of all Disney badasses. 'Nuff said. I've never seen "Fantasia"! But, "Chernabog" is a word with roots in the Slavonic languages. It means, effectively, "Black God". So, Carpi, your assessment is spot on!!

Re: The Diabolical World of Disney
This link has some interesting bits of information on Chernobog - both the stories and how the Fantasia sequence was created. Interesting how Bela Lugosi was involved at first but they weren't satisfied with his work.

...is fascinating and interesting! It's a shame that they weren't happy with Bela's work. I thought Chernobog was a figure from slavic paganism... But couldn't remember well enough to make such a claim without potentially coming a cropper!

Re: The Diabolical World of Disney
Since this is a thread talking about how dark Disney is, who here laughed manically and/or hysterically at the part in The Emperor's New GrooveI remember rewinding the VCR over and over and over to where she explained the flea bit and laughed "I'll smash him with a hammer!!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMSHOPkcVv8
