Actually, you'll find throughout the forums that the Goths here don't wear all black, and have various fashion inspirations. You should read up on the various fashion threads and be inspired.

 Re: ~Online Store Reviews~
OK, HERE'S 5 REVEIWS!Site: Studs and SpikesURL: http://studsandspikes.com/Item(s) bought: spike - Tree 1-1/8 inch - bag of 100 Overall satisfaction: 5/5 Reveiw: The spikes arrived fast, and the price was awesome. And they were just like in the picture and description. Now I just have to figure out what to do with all of them. Site: Slash 'n' BurnURL: http://findcoolclothes.com/Item(s) bought: Scarecrow Shredders fangs, Pink and Black striped stockings, Red and Black striped stockings, Needle Spike Gauntlet and Wristgaurd, and some Manic Panic makeup. Overall satisfaction: 4/5 Reveiw: Well all the stuff arrived in about a week and a half and was really awesome, the gauntlet and wristgaurd especially. But some of it wasn't the highest quality, sadly. The spikes on the gauntlet and wristgaurd are awesome, but they constantly come loose and fall off, but I'm sure a little cold-weld would fix them. And the stockings.... well.... their quality is an enigma to me... the red and black ones got all threadbare and ripped within a month but the pink and black ones still look brand new after two months, which is weird. The fangs ruled, but one came loose when I tripped, and I swallowed it, and I went to get new ones and they no longer carry them, also the fangs have this problem...they get yellowed and stained, and no matter what you do the stains won't come out, by the time I lost them, they were stained PUMPKIN ORANGE, and I am NOT exagerating, but still, Slash 'n' Burn gets a 4/5 Site: X-Tra-X URL: http://x-tra-x.com/Item(s) bought: Bondage Pants New Dark Age; Free X-Tra-X poster Overall satisfaction: 3/5 Reveiw: Well, I gotta say, they have some pretty gool stuff there, even if most of it is rather.... let's go with "generic". I got the pants in the mail in two weeks, like they said and I liked the look, though I have quite a few problems with them, one thing I liked was how you could adjust the length, but, other than that, they gave me nothing but greif. The first day I wore them was at school (admittedly, I'm a klutz, but...) by the end of the day, the straps that held the legs on, were all held on by studs off my belt, and they had already ripped in the back. The qualkity was shoddy and it might have been worth it, if the price had been around $40, but the sub-total was about $100, and the international shipping fees.....well... they're not fun.... though I bet some of the other stuff there is better quality, even though its all over-priced. I plan to order something else soon, so I'll update my reveiw of X-Tra-X, then. Oh, and the poster was pretty cool, by the way, even though it had a blatant anatomical error: ZOMBIES DON'T HAVE FANGS. But its pretty cool other than that, also its free! Site: VampFangs.com URL: http://www.vampfangs.com/Item(s) bought: Scarecrow Classic Werewolf Fangs Overall satisfaction: 0/5 Reveiw: They took..... my money..... and the fangs.... never came.... RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGEEEEE!!!!!! I checked the order status for 4 months... and they never even finnished processing.... BIG 0/5. I hate them. Site: SHOEbuy.com URL: http://www.shoebuy.com/Item(s) bought: Men's Demonia Wicked 800 Overall satisfaction: 7/5 Reveiw: I love how they have a whole section dedicated to Goth Boots X3 I also love the variety and how large it is (I think there's also a women's goth boots section, but I didn't look, I like my clothes manly). I LOVE this site! My boots arrived in about 5 days! Now as for the boots themselves... well.... they lasted me about 5 months. Now, the spikes on the front are all broken off, they're splattered with mud that won't come off, the heels are all worn down, and the platform on the right one broke off, and I had to replace it, but I blame myself for all that and maybe a little blame on Demonia. I mean, like I said, I'm a klutz and I put shoes through things that no shoe should have to endure. But I'm sure they would have lasted a lot longer through normal* use. But is anyone here really normal? *"Normal" meaning not being used in extreme sports, like I used themAlso I would like a second opinion on VampFangs and X-Tra-X so, if anyone can offer one, please let me know.

 Re: ~Online Store Reviews~
Store Being Reviewed: ChinaTownerItem Purchased: Gothic Lace Trim Corset Velvet Jacket in BlackEstimated Delivery Time: 4-5 Business Days, plus 2 days to process and ship out the order. Total 6-7 Business Days, I guess.Actual Delivery Time: 6 Business Days, 2 days to process and ship. (Being delivered to Canada) Review: I ordered this item from their website in US currency, so I didn't realize their items shipped over from China. The jacket price, and the shipping price, were both pretty good. I got the jacket in the mail today, tried it on, and it fits beautifully, looks wonderful, and is very comfortable. Overall, I am very impressed with the item. The only problem I had with the shop was that they did not give enough information. For example, I would've liked to know that my item was being shipped from China. And I didn't know I could track an international package on the Canada Post website until I tried it, trying to figure out how to track this item. Rating: 4/5 (One point taken off for the lack of information, everything else was good.)

 Need help with my image
I am an 18 year old who is new to the gothic subculture. My personality is definitely gothic but my look isn't. I need some help looking gothic. I already have a pale complexion and dark hair, but my style of dress isn't exactly gothic. How should I dress? I honestly don't know how I could dress gothic or what stores sell gothic clothing other than Hot Topic. Also, how should I style my hair? I am currently growing my hair out but am not sure how to style it to look gothic. Any help will be gladly appreciated.

 Re: ~Online Store Reviews~
Valerian, I didn't know they existed either until the site I was originally going to order the jacket from didn't have anymore. So I went searching, found that website, it had the jacket cheap and the shipping was cheap, so I just had to. And I know you're in Canada as well. In fact, whenever I get money, I want to order a choker from you SO BAD!

Store www.gothicstyle.co.uk/ Purhase Silver Marcasite locket and matching earrings The search engine at first is a little difficult to find and the catagories are a little mixed however once you get the grip of it, its a pretty easy site to shop on. Theres obviously so much choice that you feel like a kid in a candy shop and once you find what you want (if you possibly could single out just one thing), you are presented with a beautiful piture and the luxurious choice of all the added extras. I must admit, i didn't do the ACTUAL buying - cause the jewellery ordered was a present but the website was just phenomenal that i shall recommend it to all ^_^ xxx

If you look all through this thread, there is usually a description of the site, as well as the order processing, the service, the shipping rates and speeds. Those are good things to know before ordering from a shop, since as you may see, some online stores have horrible customer service, or don't send products out, or other problems like wrong sizes, wrong orders, and such.

 Re: ~Online Store Reviews~
I love that there are so many online review on this board. I have a personal interest cause that's what my girlfriend and I do - gadget reviews (we're not selling anything so I'm not making any money by telling you all). I just wish I'd jumped on this board earlier to be able to contribute to the 'Shopping' thread. -- Fri Dec 04, 2009 9:40 am -- Ps. Does anyone know of any Romantic clothing clothing stores in the UK which don't cost the earth? I like lace, petticoats and flowing fabrics. -- Fri Dec 04, 2009 10:18 am -- radio/active_ wrote: If anybody has shopped at CyberDog.net, your review would be greatly appreciated. I've only shopped in store (Camden UK) but the quality of their stuff is amazing. I still have clothing of theirs that I bought 4 years ago. Another I have only had good experiences with, both in store and online, is www.fairygothmother.co.uk. I'm not sure if they are gothy enough for this thread... apologies if not. I'm loathe to write a review as I last bought from them late 2007.

 Re: ~Online Store Reviews~
http://www.ecrater.com/index.phpThe seller in particular was Luxury Cosmetics. I purchsed a Black Knight MAC lippie, in new condition for $15.99 USD, shipping was a flat rate $4.99. The estimated time of arrival was about 3 weeks. I paid via Paypall, so we'll see how long it actually takes to get there. Edited for idiotic spelling.

 Re: ~Online Store Reviews~
I don't use online stores often because (and this is a big dilema for me) I am slender with wide shoulders, not a very prominant waist, and I'm tall. Sure, in theory it sounds nice but I can't find clothes anywhere that fit me and I'm not good at altering clothes. An online store just doesn't do. I have to try article after article of clothing on till I find one that fits.I have looked through all of the links posted on this forum and I liked a lot of what I saw. So, I'm wondering who here is tall and slender (with wide shoulders because that's a biggie) and bought clothes online that fit them and where?
