Post Culinary Experiments
Do any of you mix things together that you think at first should go well together but in fact taste delicious?
Me for example, I experiment with berries; only yesterday I mixed vanilla ice cream, honey, blueberries, and rasberries. Not totally original I know, but then again it's something that I thought of spur of the moment last night. Another of my experiments is mixing berries, honey, milk, ice cubes, and sugar into a blender and mix it until it's all been liquified. It's good, but you have to drink it quickly other wise things will start to seperate (I still can't figure out hosw that's possible). Again, not all that original, but something thought up in the spur of the moment.
So what do you think up spur of the moment in the kitchen, and does it taste like you thought it would, or was is so bad you won't ever do it again?

Baileys and Tia-Maria.
Cottage cheese and potato chip sarnies (ketchup optional!).
Mash, smoked haddock, peas and HP sauce all mulshed together.
Guinness and coke.
Nutella and smoked bacon sarnies (toasted, malted bread).

As a child my brother and me made all kinds of wacky sandwiches, not many were truly edible though.

I know a lot of people around here who make similar berry mixes, except they use frozen yogurt and drink them for breakfast.

There is a saying "you are what you eat"

There are chocolate bars with bacon inside. I've tried them. They're okay, if you like very salty chocolate.

When I looked for that link I also found this review: I think that writer must be a copywriter for those naughty chocolate ads in the UK. :P
And no I did NOT get those feelings when eating that chocolate.

Another good combination is a mixture of hot pepper jam and marmalade as a glaze for chicken. :D

The bacon bar review made me feel... dirty. I have seen French people take a set yogurt and stir in spoons of sugar, and in a works canteen in Grenoble[1] it was fried egg on pizza for my French colleague. I had the sea bass. I am now mostly made of chicken breasts, milk and cornflakes.

I should apologize for that...I can post some pretty wacky stuff but still... :(

UCLA has one atop the math-science building, across the road from a tree that has some sort of growths shaped like potatoes. The seniors like to explain to the freshmen that a meltdown caused the potatoes to start growing over instead of under ground.

Ah, don't apologize for that. I was not being really serious. My sense of humor runs to the sick, bleak and dark end of the spectrum. No joke too tasteless or horrific for me (www.b3ta.com (often NSFW)).

I have found there is also no sandwich that sprinkles cannot improve. In my own diseased imagination at least.
