Re: What kind of comp do you use?
Edit: I guess I did post waaaaay beack before I got my current machine. Helluva upgrade. I am using a hand-me-down from my ex's mum: WinXP Media Center Edition w/SP2 3G Dual Pentiums 2G Ram Dual Radeon X1650 Video 180G HDD And it's a Gateway. Of course, I'm not sure if this stuff is OE or not. And I am fairly sure everything is overclocked and set up specifically for gaming as Lord of the Rings Online runs like butter on it. ~spidey

Re: What kind of comp do you use?
I got an upgrade too in both laptop and desktop since I posted here. I have been having alot of problems with my iMac G5. A since driving to the apple store is just a tad costly, I just demanded on a replacement. So I now have an Intel mac. I also bought an iBook G3 500MHz. I would have gotten a faster one but I am terrified of the video issues the later G3's have.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop with 1 gig ram With Windows Vista Home Premium, so thats what makes it bad... About 260 gb memory with Celeron Dual Core Processor. Its got a 3.1 sytem rating, so I can barely play any good games... -- Tue Apr 28, 2009 1:02 am -- I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop with 1 gig ram With Windows Vista Home Premium, so thats what makes it bad... Re: What kind of comp do you use?
My computer is pretty good... Except the graphics card.
HP G50 Laptop 223 GB Hard Drive, plus 9.35GB Backup Drive Intel Duo-Core Processor (2GB per core) 3 GB RAM Intel Mobile 4 Series Chipset (Think thats my graphics card) 15" Widescreen (I'm pretty sure it's 15") DVD/CD ROM/Burner Built-In Wireless Internet
Running Windows Vista Home Premium (Which I have surprisingly had no issues with, despite what I've heard about Vista)
System Rating: 3.7 (Thats the lowest score, on my graphics card for gaming), Everything else is 3.9 (Aero Graphics Capability), 4.9 (Processor and RAM), and 5.1 for Primary Hard Disk.
Now the only thing is, I'd have a pretty epic gaming PC if I had a graphics card suited for major gaming.

Re: What kind of comp do you use?
Well times have changed a little here.
Laptop is now the Vaio in my signature, same iMac but I'm growing annoyed with it. No expandability is bothersome.

Re: What kind of comp do you use?
MacBook Pro (the one before the firewire port removal) 15" with 4GB ram. Also got a TimeMachine for backup, so enough with the Apple koolaid already! Running OSX with VMware parallels XP SP3 + Ubuntu VMs. Nice setup for cross-platform development (gcc, freepascal) using shared folders for the src code and building & testing at the same time.
