Do you go to Orpheus at all? I go to Baltimore sometimes..

No, I've always wanted to go, but I could never find anyone to go with me.

There are 21 + clubs in the area , and then 2 18+ clubs.


Orpheus is 18 + on both Fri and Sat. Friday is more old skool goth, Sat more industrial/ravy goth.

Then they have Electroshock in Baltimore, 21+

In DC they have Midnight, which is 18+ and Spellbound which is 21+, both on Saturdays

Voltaire and Ego Likeness played at Spellbound Sat night,

It was packed.

Why cant ya find anyone to go with?

I'm over 21.

I'd probably be more interested in the industrial/ravey night than the old school. What club is Electroshock at?

Also, I just don't know anyone else with my particular tastes, i.e. interest in going to a goth club.

Electroshock is more Industrialish music, but it is a mix.

It is at a club called Grand Central, on ST Charles. Its half gay club, half goth club. Its pretty cool, they closed down for a bit but just reopened last week.

That sucks you don't have any friends with the same interests. My friends just moved in with me from living in Baltimore, we used to go to those clubs up there a lot.

I know Grand Central, I used to live two blocks from there. I didn't realize it was half a goth club, I thought it was just a gay bar.

I live near DC. I am in Silverspring, md. Which is about 30 minutes from DC and 40 from Baltimore, so I go to both.

No Myspace? Wow heeh I thought everyone has them. I have a Vampire Freaks also, lol. I just like profiles.

Ah, yeah the goth part is totally hidden, I can't tell you how many times I've walked past there. Now I live about a five min drive north of there. I miss mount vernon (where grand central is), there was always something to do, someplace to eat.

I know where Silver Spring is, how's the traffic there?

Yeah, I've been resisting Myspace because EVERYONE has it. Vampire Freaks? That sounds interesting, I might have to check that one out.

Yea, it doesn't really show from the outside. I havent been there in a while.

I might go to Orpheus for NYE though, they are doing a party there.

I like Myspace, it helps me connect with the few friends I have..and events and stuff. Vampire freaks is ...interesting but not as good, its filled with a bunch of teenagers, Im tired of underage people messaging me, so I might delete that account, I dunno.

Silverspring? Traffic here is, um like any other city lol. I live on the edge of the city though, not far from Columbia, MD, so its closer to Baltimore, but Im still right near the main city.

What do you do for fun there then if you haven't been to the clubs?

I always like going out for NYE, though this year I am staying in because things have just been so hectic lately.

I think I'll pass on the Vampire Freaks then, the last thing I want to do is be surrounded with a bunch of teenagers. I may check out Myspace then.

LoL. I only ask about the traffic because everytime I've been down in that area I just sit on 495. I didn't know if it was bad all the time, or just the times that I've been there.

I haven't had time for a lot of fun lately because I work full-time and started going back to school, so this semester has been kind of crazy. I really love movies though, I also read a lot. I'm really into art and I make jewelry. I also enjoy roller derby (watching not playing), though I missed this season because of school.
