Post Haiku
This is a haiku (type of Japanese poem) that I wrote a while ago but I don't know if it has the 5-7-5 format:

The demon inside
haunts tonight, I scream
burning the village

There it is, I hope you like it.

Nope - you have a 5-5-5 going on right there.

But worry not, I am taking your thread and turning it into something great.

The write your own haiku Thread! Yay!

C'mon people...it's gonna be fun.

A haiku to my coffee

You keep me awake
Through the long and boring day
I take you with cream

Top That! :P

Spidey, I see your coffee haiku, and raise you an ode to zombies:

Zombies lust for brains.
Shambling, they come for me.
I can outrun them.

Your joke is passe.
Goths cutting is so cliche.
Please watch what you say.

(For anyone else who wants to play, but didn't have to write these poems in 8th grade English class, a haiku is a three line poem that has 5 syllables in the first and third lines and 7 in the second.)

Here's one honoring my drive to work this morning...

Sun is in my eyes
Rubbish Bins in the road
Snapped my damn mirror!

Your 2nd line only has 6 syllables. Perhaps "Rubbish bins litter the road"? :P

as the sun fades away.

started writing this,
forgot about dinner in oven,
smoke alarm went off.

Damn, it was supposed to say "Rubbish bins ARE in the road," but I was trying to be quick about posting. I like your line better though.
