Ya a7x is one of my favorite bands.I got a tattoo of A7X across my stomach. I hope they come to Philly soon i need some good bands here other then The Faceless..

I said I wanted my nose pierced when I first saw Jane Child's video for the song "Don't Wanna Fall In Love," back...well..you would be too young to remember it. It's currently pierced. Sometimes parents just think that when you really mean it anyways. Don't worry about it too much, you'll be 18 before you know it.

The concert was fabulous. We didn't end up meeting them but we were right up at the gate like 5 feet from the stage. It was really cool. Of course, we stood in line and froze for about 4 or 5 hours and ran our asses right up front despite the people yelling "Don't run!" There was a lot of pushing and shoving but not as bad as last March when I went. The security was significantly better too. I did manage to get kicked in the head by a crowd surfer. I think that's to be expected when you're that close though. They opened with Critical Acclaim, then played Unholy Confessions, Afterlife, Beast and the Harlot, Syn Gates did a guitar solo because Shadows's voice cracked and it looked like it hurt a lot. They also played Bat Country, Dear God, Scream, and Gunslinger. (Not necessarily in that order though.) I wasn't drinking because I drank a lot the night before, so I was still hungover at the concert.
I can't help but insert my opinion here: I started drinking when I was your age, and continued drinking more heavily over the years, until I was pregnant about 2 years ago. Now I'm 27 and it takes me a day or more to recover from it. I don't know if it's age or if it's because I drank so heavily...but anytime I drink liquor I black out. It sux. I often wonder if I hadn't overdone it for all those years if it would be as hard on me as it is now. Sorry for sounding like an old person!
Back to topic- A7X rocked even though Shadows can barely handle it anymore. I worry sometimes that if he doesn't take it easy on his vocal cords if he's going to do permanent damage and not be able to even sing. Who would they replace him with? They would probably just call it quits!!!
Saving Abel was better than I expected them to be live. Shinedown did a really good job, except for the lead singer tries to BE Ozzy. That was kind of distracting. Buck Cherry is well...Buck Cherry. The lead singer was obviously coked up and was bouncing around every where. They know how to put on a show but I'm not a big fan. I didn't even know what they looked like before they went on stage...and they all looked really old. It was weird. Then A7X took the stage and I was happy!
When I get the update for their next set of tour dates to be released I'll post or pm you if I see Philly!

And lol I can get backstage in Croc Rock (Allentown, Because my brother knows the owner. That definitely sucks with Shadows... Idk though there's allot of hardcore singers who can handle screaming for 7 minute songs and Nile who can handle for 9. I hope he's ok. And idk maybe they would hold auditions.
And ya I started drinking last year and Smoking when I was 9. It also gives me the image of "don't mess with me" around my school. I bench 180 so that helps a little... And don't worry there's plenty of people that are worse. Ex. My brother gets thrown in Jail after 3 beers. My friend started smoking at 7 and drinking at 9. And now she smokes pot. I guess try to lay back.

I have had the discussion about "What if M. Shadows can't perform?" With a few others. I would hope that the band would continue, but the opinion seems to be unanimous that they would likely just stop making records. It's not that the people surveyed think that M. Shadows IS the band or anything, but the band seems very close and the fan base would reject the idea of a new lead singer. Basically leading the band in a bad direction.
So hypothetically, if you could choose who would replace him...who would it be?

I listen to all of the "heavy" bands. so to me it would have to be a good singer and someone who has a nice scream. For me maybe the lead singer of "The Faceless" or "Slipknot". Maybe even "Darkest Hour"..That's just me..

I think Lajon Witherspoon from Sevendust would have quite a lot to add to A7X's sound, but I wouldn't see it lasting- creatively the bands are VERY different.
It would probably serve them well to find someone completely new and unknown (if Shadows can't hang in there that is).
On a personal note, I would love to see Amy Lee as the lead singer. Evanescence and A7X are 2 of my favorite bands so that would make me happy to see them team up (or at least tour together).
A female lead singer would be cool anyways, but one like Maria Brink from In This Moment, who can sing and scream.

But anyway they have a song called Mortuary Riot (Lots of blood so don't watch it if you don't like seeing blood) and I saw it on Youtube. If you look close you see a girl singing(well screaming). It would be nice to see a girl lead/backup singer. I did research Slipknot does a sort of thing where, they trade singers whenever the lead singers voice starts to hurt. They could also do that.

I came up with an idea..How cool would it be for A7X and a few other bands/singers get together to make a "project".
Like Fear Factory making Arkaea with a few other bands. And Hate Breed with Hate Eternal, etc.
