Post Female Vocaled Bands
Yes, I'm afraid another "recommend me music" thread. Sorry.

But slightly different here, I've always liked female vocals so much more than male, and think it's such a shame they make up such a smaller share of the market. And like my other genres, I don't have as much gothic female music as I'd like. In fact really just:

Siousxie
Switchblade Symphony
Miranda Sex Garden

I'll add the Dresden Dolls, Rasputina, Angelfish, Jack off Jill, Scarling and Emilie Autumn too. I'm not sure they're really goth, but just in case someone suggests them.

So if anybody has some suggestions of some more decent female vocal gothic bands, it'd be most appreciated.

You might find some recommendations in this thread from a while back.

Ahh, many thanks. I searched for the topic in gothic music but not in general...

I looked through the old thread, and I found some that weren't mentioned.
Eths (a French Heavy-metal band)
Light this City (Symphonic Metalcore. They broke up, but they have some songs out)
The Agonist (Think Walls of Jericho, but better)
Ot3p.(someone may have mentioned her)
...that's all I can think of now, but look on YouTube. There are lots of videos dedicated to the women of rock.
Good Luck!

I hate them. I think male vocals go so much better with gothic rock, personally. Siouxsie is the only exception.

I like Mandragora Scream. I just recently started listening to them at the advice of another member. Morgan LaCroix can sing and scream.

Uhm... no. I know the lead singer wore makeup in the 80s and his hair was long and oh-so-curly, but... that was just heavy metal in the early 80s.

There's no women in Twisted Sister. ;)

Okay, I see what you're trying to do. And you can stop now, because it's not going to happen.

I also found some female thrash, as well... Cripper. I swore that the vocalist was a man. In alternatve rock (although disturbingly dark) there's Jack off Jill.
I also like-
Leaves' Eyes
Tristiana
Danger Gang (Visual Kei...and kind of annoying at times)
And if you like a screaming Christin pop-singer, there's Flyleaf.
But let's not go there-
