I study Arabic, and am going to Egypt next year, so much respect, my Egyptian friend.

Helooo, i've decided to introduce myself without my real name and gender, this is becuase i like people to react to me for me, not my gender (you'd be surprised how often people do it even if they don't mean to) bessides, i've always wanted to introduce myself without gender
I love books, fantasy and sci-fi (such as books from the black library) mainly but i like to read factual information on science whenever i can get my hands on it.
I'm a bit of a 3d animator and thus do 3d object creation and animation (not that good at it, but have to start some where)
I have base guitar but can't play it yet, but i'm learning.
i'm best described as: down to earth, cynical, sarcastic, great sense of humor, amiable, and am pretty empathetic.
I am obsessed with night wish (what?, i think there awesome). i listen to music for the music, not becuase its apart of a genre i listen to, so i like a lot of non-rock music (but i can't stand RAP/RnB/HIPHOP, etc unless its really good)
i also like: The used, Distrubed, 3 inchs of blood, Dragon force, Korn and ramstien.

I'm also a sucker for cute stuff and hugs.

The Goth Subculture is fairly accepting of various people based on race, sexuality, lifestyle, and gender. You think people here are seriously going to change their opinions because of your gender?
You could come on here and say you're a cross-dressing lesbian with a fetish for hentai, and no one would judge you (although they might think of you as an attention whore for announcing such! ), so gender is definitely not an issue, kiddo.

There are those cynical souls who might say that the reason many goths don't discriminate based on gender is because we can't tell our boys from our girls in this subculture.

Not me, of course, but some people.

Welcome to the GN, new folks!  In all honesty, we care a whole lot more about your ability to post to the forums with intelligence and follow DasRules rather than your CD collection or subculture du jour.  So no worries.  We won't chase you off board with torches and pitchforks if we find a Black Eyed Peas song on your computer.  :wink:
